Atlantic City Casino Hotels $20 Trick

It’s worked well for us, especially a mid-week stay from October through May. We use Diamond check-in at Caesars and not VIP and have been pleasantly surprised with our results. I should say it hasn’t worked every single time but we have a good upgrade average.

 

I'm 50/50 Got shot down there in January - when it was a ghost town..

Got a Senator Suite upgrade in July - the actual 4th of July...

 

So if you get shot down do you take your $20 back?

 

In my experience, they will almost always return the $20 if they can't get you an upgrade.

 

Borgota - The $20 trick got me upgraded to amazing Fiore Suite - 800 feet of incredible room, soaking tub, and views to die for. Saved $100's for my stay.

 

I know this thread is old but this post is encouraging and I thank you for it. I would love to get away with my wife to Borgata and heard the Fiore soaking tub is great. I wonder if anyone has done this successfully post COVID.

Now only if I can get my parents to watch the kids...

 

Has anyone tried the $20 on a junket?

Going to Borgata for the first time soon. I can get comped rooms on my own account that are better than the basic they gave me but I think I am SOL since they book the room with the junket.

Does anyone know if you can try the $20 trick on a junket?

 

I've done this multiple times at Harrah's AC. Most recently we were there Wed-Fri (checkout Friday) had a comp offer for a Laguna room. Handed over the $20 sandwich and asked if they had "any complimentary waterfront tower suite upgrades" she couldn't do waterfront but we got a nice 800sf Bayview suite.

 

The front desk personnel had to sign a memo stating that they could not upgrade guests to suits for a tip, last year
