Four Deuces: NFC hops around the valley @ Aria/Gold Coast/Luxor/Eastside Cannery for two nights each

Made great time back to Luxor. Steamed my shirt and jacket. I had the tee made a couple of months ago specifically for going to strip clubs. The flowers are because it’s a hippie/flower power theme tonight at the Sapphire.



I also made a point of shaving my head as there will be face painting tonight, and I thought it would be fun to be a full-head canvas

Also brought some gifts from Canada for my contact at Sapphire, who has gone above and beyond for me...

I forgot about Ketchup chips. I need to Google if that ever launched in the US and if so what happened. Considering how much we love ketchup here I thought it would/could work.

Proof of life. This morning went “mostly” as planned. As in, I got up for my call, managed to not sound like an idiot, but instead of marching to the spa, I went right back to bed. Which was the right decision, I felt nearly dead with that little sleep.

Also felt pretty dead as soon as I got back to my hotel



That Gatorade cost me $5.75 at the gift shop by the way. Geeeeez.





Just grabbed a chicken sub from LA subs and some coffee from Starbucks. Going to chow down on this real fast along with my muffin from yesterday. Then got about an hour of work to do.



Then hitting the Luxor and Excalibur MLife desks to get my Konami freeplay from MyVegas. I already redeemed it at NYNY but still need to play it. There, they told me it has to be on one of the four Konami machines, seems it isn’t just a straight $25 freeplay anymore.

Got a couple things I want to do on the strip, then downtown for a bit of play and dinner at Triple George at 7:00. Then meeting up with @Astribling and a couple others at the Linq to go on the High Roller. After last night, I think I’m going to limit myself to two or three drinks total. Seriously. I know you’re all rolling your eyes and smirking as you’re reading that, but that’s actually my plan.

Then off to my fourth and final hotel tomorrow out in Henderson. Cannot believe this trip is almost coming to a close especially because I’ve barely gambled. Tomorrow will probably be a gamble-heavy night though.

 

Tonight will be fun! 2 or 3 drinks? We will see!

Fyi I just got some Konami freeplay at bellagio and used it on whatever machine I wanted. So just try!

1) I’m surprised that the same Gatorade is cheaper at the Wynn than at Luxor 2) I always learn something from your trip reports. I’ve thought a cpl of times about hitting up the bourbon street bar across from Palace Station but now that I know about them, I have less than zero desire to go there! 3) I wish you had raised the camera a LITTLE higher on that first picture of the stack of bills at sapphires, the short shorts and leg looks nice on the bartender (hope I don’t get in trouble for saying that) 4) thanks for another great and always interesting TR..

 

FYI, Both myself and my buddy used our $25 on video poker, so while they tell you its good on those four machines, we proved them wrong.

 

Many thanks for the kind words! I’m curious though, what is it that turns you off about Bourbon Street based on what I wrote? The “no pictures” thing is a bit annoying sure, but I thought it looked like a very fun place otherwise. I’d certainly go back myself.

For all I know, it could have been just one employee who got spooked and went on somewhat of a power trip saying no pictures.

So my impression of the place was decidedly an overall good one. I’m just curious why it wasn’t for you.
