I was planning on going until I found out that many things may be closed including Sportsbook betting. I'll consider it as I get closer to the date. My 3 nights at PH are comped. My 2 nights at Encore on Sunday and Monday is $360 total. I may be able to get the rooms comped on the back end depending on how I do at PH the first 3 nights. What I may try is to cancel the Encore rooms, and in a week or two try to get a reservation at a cheaper rate. If I can't, I'll postpone the entire trip. I like when there is some crowd in Vegas. I don't like it being totally dead. I also want the tables to be at least half full.

My wife called and asked me to hit the liquor store near our home. Normally there are 2 to 3 customers in the store. Today there were at least 15 customers in the store buying carts of beer and liquor. I left with a 1.75 liter of Tito's and JD. It's getting crazy, folks.

Edit: My BH informed me that this is not stocking up.

Please, let's try to avoid the snark, joke memes, speculation and hyperbole. So far so good with this thread, but the drifting and constant need for clean up continues.

For me, I can't chance anything right now.. I live with my parents where my work is (I have a place, but in a different city, I just can't seem to give that up!)
Even though my mom is over 60, she is pretty ok healthwise, but my dad has big underlying health issues, I just have to be really cautious on anything I do right now! I cancelled a Vegas trip that would have happened late next week. I am looking at August for a trip there, but will just have to wait and see!

We have a June trip and we’re just watching and waiting. I’ll probably have to eat a non-refundable airfare if we cancel, but cancelling early or later doesn’t help me or hurt me. It might help me if the airline cancelled.

I can wait and watch until May without pressure to decide. If it were now, there’s no way I’d go.

I'm set to leave Tuesday but am teetering. I can only make 1 trip a year in the spring so I will have to wait a whole year if I cancel.
I'll have to make a decision by Sunday. Sucks

Well Lightfair May4-7 just cancelled today, so no Vegas for me.

To make myself feel better I booked a stay at Mandalay for Labor Day Weekend, and NYNY for my bday in Oct.

If the airline cancels, in many (not all) you will get your money back. Some might force you to take an alternate flight and not refund.

BUT - right now, most of the airlines are being very liberal with change policies. If you can pick a date in the future, most will allow a change.

I got back a week ago and while I was there everything was open and things seemed normal. Went to a Knights game and the place was rocking. Seems like I picked a good week to go in that everything is hitting the fan now.

Cancelled my trip to Laughlin this weekend. But for now, I still intend to go to 2 Vegas trips planned in April... we'll see.

Well , my airline just implemented a pretty restricted change policy, which is better than before. If I want to move my trip to a very restricted one in only mid October I now have options at least.

Now if I could just talk Wynn slots into moving my booking of 3 nights to October even though it was made on old tier policy ....

In all seriousness now it is far more likely than not that I will cancel. At this point I am mostly just waiting to see if further mass cancellations give me better refund options. Barring a remarkable turnaround in the trend I will be canceling

I was scheduled to be there for a week over the NFL draft. Trip was split between South Point and Ballys, about $1,000 total hotel cost. I can now rebook at Caesars in Octavius room for about $100 total for a week, not per night.

I’m changing to that for now, but I’m guessing the event I am going to gets canceled, and if that happens I will walk away from a basically free Octavius room, which pains me but is probably the right call.

Of all the airfares I have booked, the farthest out is June 1-5. So I decide to see if I can book any rooms. Woot! Four comped nights at Gold Coast! So I grab it. Maybe I have to cancel, maybe not. But I got to thinking...if things start looking good in a month or so, maybe all those free rooms will dry up quick. :woot: Something to look forward to whether it happens or not.

We are scheduled to be there in early June, but waiting and see how this whole thing unfolds. Wishing and hoping things calm down by then......

Well, as I expected a little over a day ago.... Things are rapidly changing. All schools in illinois closed until March 30th at a minimum, cruises not allowed to travel for 60 days, and our work schedules are getting all moved around (I work in local municipal government). All the casino's in Illinois are closed for two weeks starting Sunday. We literally just legalized sports betting and opened our first Sportsbook a week ago in Chicago! Now nothing to bet on sporting wise and the whole casino is done too.

I honestly would be shocked if in the next week airlines are not grounded and casinos in Vegas shut down. Good thing we pulled the plug on going this weekend, this is getting crazy! It will be only grocery stores and pharmacies open soon.

I went ahead and cancelled my 3/22 trip today when seeing restaurants in the various properties were closing. I was already leaning that way anyway as Dallas has now had a community spread case. In general, I just could not see it being a relaxing trip, or anything close to normal.

I plan to go ahead and reserve again for July, but hold off on flights till know more on what is happening.

Scheduled to go april 4-10. Planning on still going at this point but have to wait and see. I actually just rebooked the flights today at a much lower price then I originally booked for.
