Actually Maxmanni you were correct in regards to non-stops.
People always get this mixed up--a non-stop means the plane goes from the departure city to the destination city with no stops
A direct flight can make one or more stops but you do not change planes.
I was in travel for 26 years and the terms all ways seem to confuse people--especially the term Direct flight but that is the airlines terminology.

Spoke too soon...CET did send an email about March Madness parties being canceled and offered some casino play as compensation. I'll pass.

Is dreaming my trip at the end of May happening wishful thinking at this point?

And another shower thought, when Vegas finally goes fully functional it's going to be one hell of a busy city.

I plan on going. Unless casinos are shut down. If that happens will just bump out 3-4 weeks

Ironically I am keeping an eye on big weekends for the second half of the year and prices are ticking up. Halloween weekend in particular is up 10 percent at Wynn since earlier this month

Pulled the plug this morning. It just won't be the same Vegas to me.
*Sigh* Have to wait a whole year now.

My flight leaves for Vegas at 7PM Monday. I will be on it. I'm also 70+ with type 2 diabetes but overall healthy. Exercise enough to say I exercise. Plan to enjoy St Patricks day in Vegas. Yes, I'll be riding the bus to Fremont Street. Green beer may be my biggest concern.

Cancelled our trip for March Madness. It will be the first time in about 15 years I will have missed. I work in a school and feel it would be irresponsible to possibly bring back the virus. Just my opinion.

I was able to rebook my flight so now I'm leaving on Tuesday (this coming Tuesday). I called Hawaiian air and had to wait 2 1/2 hours before I got a reservations agent. I called at 1:30 am, woke up and just thought about calling so even though I was sleepy I just held the phone by my ear until I got the res agent at 4 am. Man, they are busy with flight changes and cancellations.

If I had cancelled I'm not sure if I would be travelling the rest of the year so I figured, what the heck, go now. Hopefully most of the places will be open. No matter about buffets, maybe best if they are closed. Not sure about Boyd buffets though. As long as in n out is open that is fine with me.

Will report back when I find out more info about what's going on in vegas (downtown). Luckily I was able to get 4 days comped at MSS with my sapphire card. Also lucky that car rental prices weren't too bad ($150) for my 6 1/2 day rental.

But I'm bringing lots of hand sanitizer and spray sanitizers. Will spray everything, esp the seat on the plane and everything else by my seat. It may be best to not go to restaurants so maybe best to just go through the drive through.

You have to do what you have to do, but do you realize how un-fun you're making this trip sound?

Unfortunately I'm not sure what to expect in vegas so I'm keeping my expectations low. That way if places close down I won't be disappointed.

Im going on Tuesday, that’s my concern too, if they ground flights. I’ll have a rental car, so worst case I’ll drive home. It would suck, but that’s life.

I am cancelling plans to go in 2 weeks

Im not afraid of getting sick.

    1) Las Vegas is a multi dimensional experience for me. I like to gamble, but not so focused that I could spend all day every day at tables and slots. No pool, no fitness center, rolling restaurant closures, limited shows... not worth it to me
    2) My head is simply not in the right place. I'd like to think a Las Vegas getaway would be a distraction.... but I expect that it'd be ongoing reminders of our global situation.

I have another trip planned for June... thats still in place.

And, I may book a trip for late April, early May... in case we're coming out of the shutdown period by then.

I canceled my Feb trip. Will cancel all future trips up to June.
Usually I go 5-6 times during this period.

Just cancelled next weekend's trip. Hate to do it, but I don't think Vegas is really going to be Vegas next week anyway. We'll go another time when the world is back right side up.
