I like Mandarin Oriental or Encore with my wife but with my buddies I like Downtown and the Downtown Grand. If Derik Stevens builds a quality strip like resort downtown (18 Fremont) then that may be my new home base...

 

Maxim...1st time visiting
Travel Lodge near Startosphere...went on a whim...book hotel in airport waiting to board plane years ago... ..had no idea about the place or the area of town it was in only that it was on the Strip!
Stardust....was going to LV with a "friend" who was supposed to have booked a room...ended up at my parents room sleeping on the floor..no worries i was in Las Vegas
Imperial Palace....got a really good hotel rate..now i know why...lol
Ballys..stayed here several times
Paris...stayed here when it first open and then several times after that
Aladdin...wanted to stay here before it changed name
Planet Hollywood...stayed here when it first changed name
Monte Carlo....group i was with picked this place
Excalibur....got a great hotel rate on a new renovated room
Mandalay Bay...took the parents and this is where they wanted to stay
America Best Value Inn near Tropicana..paid 20 bucks for the room....had a red eye flight home
