In reply to the overnight in Binion's Parking garage:
While in the military a couple of buddies and I made an impromptu trip to Vegas. Had to leave the next day. So parked the car and when it was time to crash just slept in the car. Barely had enough money to gamble, damn sure didn't have enough for a room. Which led to the 2 stays at the Villa Roma on the next trips.

Our Vegas adventures usually began with being dismissed on Friday. Having a few too many, then at some point during the evening someone would yell "Vegas!!!!" We would then have to find the lowest ranked guy that didn't drink and make him drive. Looking back seems silly drive 4 hours, get all excited about being in Vegas, but knowing you have no bankroll. Oh to be in my 20's again.

My wife and I have been going for years too so the list is rather long. It is interesting thinking back through all of the places we have gone to. Back in the day we would jump to whichever place was the cheapest now we tend to settle on one or two. Our current favorite is Aria.

Thunderbird (I was a kid with my parents)
    Rivera
    Rio
    Orleans
    Gold Coast
    Green Valley
    Suncoast
    Silverton
    Mandalay Bay
    Delano
    Luxor
    Excalibur
    Monte Carlo
    Aria
    Bellagio
    Paris
    Alladin (new one and PH)
Elara (when it was PH Towers)
    Flamingo
    Venetian
    Pallazo
    Mirage
    Wynn
    Encore
    Sams Town
Whiskey Petes (I'm still trying to block that one out of my memory)
    Primadona
    Buffalo Bills
    Imperial Palace

Made my first trip in 2007. Haven't made enough trips since then and can't figure out why I didn't go sooner! Only 5 trips have been made for me and I've stayed at:
    MGM Grand
    Mandalay Bay
    NYNY
    Bellagio
    then again at NYNY.

Originally I was going to try to stay at a different property each time until I've stayed at all the places. Then I decided to limit it to MGM properties. Now, we just like NYNY and spend a lot of time there so it will be our home base.

If one parks their car in the garage at the Bellagio and sleeps in the car for four hours, does that count as "staying" at the resort?????

Seriously after reading all these, I feel like I am at a Bruce Springsteen concert where I am impressed with my dozen or so shows until the guy next to me tells it's his 100th show.

My list, which doesn't come close to a bunch of you.. although there are multiple stays in there: First stay 2004. Wish I would have started earlier but, I had no desire back then.

    IP
    Mirage
    Monte Carlo
    Rio
    Flamingo
    Pho
    Luxor
    Caesars
    Ballys
    Paris

My next hotel stay will likely be at either Aria or Cosmopolitan, though I'm tempted to get a giant room at Flamingo for the same price as an entry-level room in a nicer property.

When you think of a "resort" do you think of some of the places listed or list because of the fee? Or just melded resort and stay to answer. I like plaza and horseshoe listed as resorts. Ups my game from yesteryear
