Anyone want to guess what beer I've been drinking at GG? I'm surprised they have it.

The ticket hadn't been used when the employee looked it up. She could have cancelled it then, but we spent another 20 minutes talking, standing in line for the money, etc. Eventually, someone started using the TITO. I wouldn't have gotten anything had the TITO been used before she looked it up, and I agree that I was fortunate to be reimbursed.

As I've mentioned, the progressives are connected between the Vue Bar and GG floor. I'm relaying first hand information. If I eat at the D or 4Q's, I check the Vue Bar progressive to see if I should rush back to my current GG home. I've heard that they weren't connected, were, then weren't again. They are now.

I hadn't remembered reading that you had reported earlier that they were connected. I don't know first hand, as I only played at the D this trip. Just going by the thread here where I remember it was said they are "ending the experiment" with the shared progressive. Kind of funny that there are so many different reports on whether they are currently connected or not. I can't imagine that they keep flipping it back and forth.

10/31 Thursday,. Halloween at Golden Gate

I slept through my wake up call. I had less than an hour before checkout time. The D denied a late checkout time request as they usually do. GG had a room ready. As per forum advice, I asked for an opening window. They had a "roof view" left. There isn't a view, but it is cool, quiet, and a bit larger than my last room here. I'm happy with it.

I start gambling at 12:45. I have a couple Baily's and coffees. The 8/5 BP progressive section seems disconnected from the rest of the casino. Drink service doesn't always get this far. At 1:16, I get 6's for $36.50. The RF gets hit and I quit around 1:35pm down $18.59 with 92 points. I go back to my room to unpack.

An hour later, the prog's have grown. The SF is $140 and the quad is over $40. I chase +$40 quads and start playing at 2:30pm. At 2:53 I draw a 4th King for $46.78. Mission accomplished, I cash out with 537 credits and 30 points. I'm hungry.

I walk down to the D for breakfast. I still have October comp money left and I order chicken and waffles. I've only eaten this combination once before, and like it. The jalapeno syrup is a nice touch. My server tells me that a man wants to pay for my meal. I tell her that it is already paid for. Same thing occurred with another diner. I'm interested. I ask him if he won big. Turns out he just got here, wanted to do something nice, and was hoping that karma would kick in.. I think he should get points for effort.. After my meal, I check the Vue Bar and see that the quad and SF prog's have risen. I head back to GG. It's obviously Halloween. There are a lot more costumes than I expected this early.

I start at 5:25. The RF as at $1068 and SF $199. I discovered some interesting taps at the bar and am especially eager to try one of them. I am pleased that the Server knows the beer and will bring it. I hit 7's at 5:26 for $34.11 and again at 5:30 for $34.38. That hit gave me 777 credits. Lucky 7's! I hit 8's at 6:11 for $33.40. I cash out for $113.70 with 72 points. I go to check out Freemont.

I have $50 FP that I can't use on my game. I go to the bar and play at 5:45. They have removed the chairs in preparations. I pick a machine in front of the center set of taps. It has a tap I am unfamiliar with. It turns out to be Bell's Two Hearted IPA. I like it. The citrusy aftertaste isn't perfect, but still good. I plan to alternate it with the beer II had been drinking, Duvel. I love Belgium's, but this one gets too sweet to just drink one after another. I haven't even had their Stone Delicious IPA yet. I'm so happy with the tap choices, that I haven't even asked about the bottled selections yet. I turn my $50 FP into $43.75 on 8/6 BP Dlx. I have yet to hit a quad playing this game

Freemont is getting crazier. I figure that Hugo's would be back, but I figured wrong. The place was half full and I got a table right away. I got an IPA from upstairs and ordered the ribeye again. Same review as before. After dinner, Freemont was packed with people. It could take minutes to travel feet. It got too crowded for me, and I've been here on NYE.The costumes were great, but I figured that most of them would circulate through the casinos, I retreated to GG.

I'll describe a pretty long playing session later.

I've played the Vue a lot with a local who pretty much describes it as switching back and forth. I think it affects GG players most as it only gets a fraction of the play. The meters rise much faster now, but those damn Vue players keep hitting them.

I would be trying to drink a Stone Xocoveza myself if they had it. It's back in season.

IIRC, the GG BP progressives were connected to the D BP progressives that were in front of the book and keno.

For a short time, they put the same 3-way progressive on about 16 machines.

After a short time, they were separated, and the D machines decreased in number and went to a progressive on the royal only.

I believe the Vue bar has always been separate.

Night of 10/31 and morning of 11/1 at GG.

Freemont was crazy crowded and I eventually decided to play some more BP at GG. I started playing at 11:25 pm. I ordered a Duvel, but the server didn't have a clue about it. She brought me a Blue Moon. I went to the extremely busy bar and exchanged it. After getting the beer, a guy asked if I could help him. I remained non committal. He asked me again, but specified that he needed to know where he was. I interpreted that geographically, told him, and moved on. I planned to play as long as the progressives were good

    I hit J's for $35 at 11:49 and lost $100 at 12:22. I rebought for $100. At 12:24, I got 2,s for $50, at 12:26 drew Q's for $33.89. The RF was hit a half hour later. The SF was at $135 so I continued to play. I got 6's at 2:25 am for $34.05, 5's at 3:05 for $38.76, 9's at 3:12 for $34.40, 2's at 3:22 for $50, Q's at 3:25 for $33.51, 10's at 4:08 for $36.19, 6's at 4:10 for $31.40, J's at 5:11 for $33.44, 8's at 5:22 for $32.07, 9's at 5:39 for $32.50, and 10's at 5:57 for $32.41.

I had been drinking Duvels, but drink service dried up completely. I finally asked security about it and someone showed up. She had never heard of Duvel, but was willing to serve me Two Hearted Ale, so I was fine.

The progressives initially climbed quickly, but I've been the lone player for hours. I've basically been chasing my own money being the sole contributor to and hitter of quads. The RF was still below $1,100, but the SF was approaching $250. If some one hit it, I'd gladly go to bed, but I wasn't going to quit and leave it there. I had 221 credits left and had played $5,960. I wasn't sure if I should finally quit or not if I burned through these credits.

Drawing two more 4's for $50 at 6:49 made that debate mute. Other people started playing and someone else started hitting quads. I got the same 4's three more consecutive times at 7:14, 8:26, and 8:45. At 8:47 I hit 5's for $35.86. I had 714 credits at this point and had played $8,330 coin in this session. I was wondering if I could play $10,000 through on quarters in a single session. At 9:49, I noticed that the SF had been hit. It had exceeded $250. The quad still made the game good, so I continued playing. I lost my hundred at 9:57am with 933 pts. The $54 quad finally got hit by someone else at 10:34. I played a little longer to hit the 1,000 pts and cashed out with $22.50 at 10:36 am

I had been up 24 hours and played 11 hours straight to play 8,000 hands and $10,000. I lost $276 in the process. I haven't seen Aces or a SF for a couple days. I'm looking forward to their return. I went to bed at 11:00am and woke a few hours later. I'll play again today, but am not eager for another long session.

Dang, my eyes start to go wonky looking at a screen after a couple hours. The beer doesn't help either. And Duvels?!? Those suckers are 8% or so. You are a dedicated VP player or a straight up degen. Either way, I am impressed.

Really enjoying your report. I was out of town for work, and now I have several days to catch up on.

It's obviously not the same as seeing it in person, but thought I'd share this from 2 years ago. I think I hit it at 2 in the morning.

    11/1/19 Friday afternoon and night

Just to catch up, we left off at 11:00 am today after an all night VP session that cost me a few hundred dollars.

Last trip I hit 7 Royal Flushes. This trip I've only hit one. Fortunately, an overabundance of RF's are not part of my bankroll preservation strategy. Game selection and FP. is. I've been losing at both the D and GG, but hope that some FP will mitigate the losses. I have the ACG play 50 points get $5 FP up to $100. I decided to use it for the 24 hours covering Friday night and Saturday figuring that the progressives would climb fast. I also have my November $50.

I'm up around 3:00 pm. I'm not really tired, but a bit lethargic. I found the roach that I didn't tell you about yesterday in my bathtub. It had tried to crawl out of the drain and into the sink yesterday, but I closed with the stopper. It migrated to the bathtub. It's dead now. After some putzing and a shower, I go to the D for a meal. I had the chicken sandwich, which was good. I'm thirsty from yesterday and drink a couple glasses of water.

My coupon start time is 6:40 pm. I plan to play 1,000 points by this time Saturday. I started playing at 6:45. My server is the one from yesterday that had trouble with my beer order, I decide to simplify and order Stone's Delicious IPA. The RF was $1,325, SF was $102, and quad over $37. I jumped right in. I hit 3's for $50 at 7:04, and 6's for $32.85 at 7:30. At 7:54 I drew 2 more Aces for $100, FINALLY. I play enough that I see one or more Ace quads each day. A 2 day draught was unusual and getting expensive. I was mostly playing alone at GG, but, judging by the meter, the Vue bar must be getting a lot of play. At 8:14 I get 5's for $32.11 and at 8:22, I hit queens for $32.29. The SF was hit and I cashed out up $100 with 132 points.

When I came back the server had changed and I got to include both Duvel and 2 Hearted ale to my drinking rotation. Knowing the gaps in service, I stockpiled an extra beer each time the server came by. I drank a lot today.

I started playing again at 10:47. The RF was $1,430 and SF $143. I hit 6's at 11:13 for $35.13, and 3's complete with kicker at 11:43 for $50. At 11:46 I drew another King for $35.83, and was dealt Kings at 11:50 for $32.28. I drew the 4th 9 at 12:09am for $33:16 and lost my $100 buy in at 2:12 AM. I was even for the day

I continued to play. I was dealt 2's at 2:20, I'm pretty sure the SF had been hit, but didn't make a note. The RF was still there, but it wasn't climbing much. I think I was the only playing at times. I was tired and quit at 3:21 down $50. I had 374 points to add to the 132 previous ones. Just another 500 to go. I wasn't hungry. I'd drunk my dinner. I'm hoping the RF is still there tomorrow.

    11/2/19 Saturday at GG.

I had a 10:00 wake up call and was at my machine by 11:00am. There was cocktail service and I was drinking Bailey's and coffee. I have close to $5,000 in quarters to play through before 7pm.Fortunately the game is great this morning. I hit my first deal at 11:00. I was bleeding credits. I lost 130 credits in 9 minutes. I was dealt Aces at 11:09. Draught ended, disaster averted... at least temporarily. an above $150 SF gets hit. This dampens my enthusiasm, but my FP coupon is motivating. I hit 3's for $50 at 11:59. The over $1,600 RF gets hit. Big Royals fuel a lot of play. I suspect that progressive growth rate will slow. I quit at 12:40 with another 157 points down $50. A server shows as I'm ready to leave. I order a Duvel, go up to my room. I can store it outside my window.

I stopped by reception to report the roach. I think the woman thought that I was trying to complain. I wasn't. I just thought that they might like to know.

I use my QQQQ's comp dollars for a Magnollia's breakfast. It costs nothing, but I have a 20% discount which I guess means that it cost less the nothing. I had the Queens breakfast. There is a lot on that plate. It has French toast, 3 small pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 bacon strips and a sausage patty. I felt the need for a nap afterwards, but I had another 350 points to play. I got a couple of their cookies to go. I went back to my room to drop off my cookies and pick up my beer. I had 4 hours left on my coupon and headed down to play.

I restarted at 2:10 and managed to lose $50 in 10 minutes after only playing $160. It was brutal., especially so for BP. I didn't have any cash left in my pocket and put in TITO's. That makes my accounting difficult as they aren't for even #s. I lost around $22 more

Things got a bit better, I hit 8's at 2:35 for $33.91, and 6's at 2:52 for $32.65. I cashed out a $300 TITO that had been around $206 when I put it in. The SF was hit right as I was dealt a Club 4 card open SF. I didn't hit it. I lost the remains of a $50 TITO at 3:55. I drew a 4th Jack for $35.83 at 4:31. A slot machine was making so much joyous noise that I couldn't hear my own credits accumulating. The noise was over a $16 jackpot. Things turned to shit after that. I lost $200 at 5:32. I did get 4's for $50 at 5:42 and 6's for $37.28 at 6:09. I quit at 6:15. I earned $100 FP, but lost over $200 today getting the last 500 pts.

I lost a bit more later as I was leaving and the quad looked good. I still want to put another $3,000 coin in this stay and figure I'll just play when the progressives are high. A server brought me a beer that I didn't have time to finish. It is a Bell's Two Hearted Ale, its keeping cold outside my window, I just finished my Hardaway IPA, and I am going to grab this one as soon as I finish this sentence.

I considered what to do with the rest of the day. Jokestars hadn't changed acts yet, it was late for the Tenaya and Hop Nuts HH's, and I didn't feel like going down to the strip. I worked on a TR entry, cruised Freemont and ate dinner at Chicago Brewing. I realized that I probably had more beer in those filled to the brim Imperial pints of IPA than I got in 5 of those small Golden Gate glasses. So maybe I haven't been drinking so much after all. I accompanied my IPA with garlic knots, so no liquid dinner tonight. I lost about $12.50 playing at the bar without a card. I brought most of my 2nd IPA back to my room where I watched Saturday Night Live and wrote this entry.

My trip is at the hallway point. The gambling started strong. Early on I was up over $2,000. I have under $400 of that left. That is under $400 even after I have burned through $460 in FP. The cool thing about FP is that you don't really have to beat the game to win. Fortunately the majority of my FP is still to come. I've played 10 days since hitting this trip's lone RF. Most trips I hit 2 or 3, so I'm hopeful. The D and GG have been tougher than usual this trip. I'm on a 12 day stretch at these 2 properties and have 5 days left. After that is when the big gambling starts.

For the first time in this TR, I am in real time. It's 1:34, I'm watchin Sports Center, drinking my last beer and contemplating that second Magnollia's cookie,
