Congrats! But, this is not a coincidence. There is only one reasonable conclusion here. Jerry's was calling you back to complete the unfinished business, hit the royal there, and take home a piece of victory cake! (yes, next time get the prime rib! )

Nice Royal, should’ve celebrated across the street at Chicas.

Is Chicas a recommended place to bring a thousand dollars, and should I have asked for it in ones?

I believe that you are on record as a big Jerry's fan so I'm confident that you know how cool that felt.

Thank you. Vegas was actually getting cold at night, not refrigerator cold, but cool enough for IPA's and stouts. I've spent some time in Africa and SE Asia. I'm afraid that on the off chance that something landed in my beer, that it wouldn't render it undrinkable. Well, unless that something was a roach.

My day's beer stash doesn't last past bedtime, and I really mostly have to resort to it at GG since service is so spotty where I play. Everywhere else I can get a drink whenever I want.

11/6 Weds morning/ early afternoon at The D.

For some reason I had trouble falling asleep last night and then I woke up a little after 7am. I went down around 9:00 but the progressives hadn't grown much since last night. I had planned to be playing on a FP coupon that added 1% to my game, but they are no longer allowing more than one use of the same coupon. The game this morning was at best 99.5%. What to do?

I am scheduled to move to DTG on Monday and had read an alarming post about their floor VP being downgraded. I was afraid that might happen and have yet to cancel my GC reservations as a backup. I decided to see the pay tables myself. I didn't check every machine and mostly checked quarters. I could see Deuces players being upset. I gather that went from FPDW to NSUD's. All I found was 15/9 DW and I wouldn't play that. There is still an abundance of 10/7 DB and 10/6 DDB both at the bar and on the floor, so I'm good.

I went from there to the Plaza for coupon play, but the player's desk was unmanned. It would probably take hours for the RF and SF to be playable. I kept checking for a high quad, but no one was playing and the meters wouldn't budge. If Boyd hadn't pulled my room offers, I would be at the BHB with an 11x point multiplier beginning a $10,000 coin in day. Instead I was looking for something to do. It hit me.

Day Drinking! I wasn't very hungry yet after yesterdays Jerry's meal, but figured that breakfast would be a good idea. I had a couple easy over eggs, hash browns and wheat toast. The toast was over buttered, and I forgot to order my hash browns crispy. I was, however, prepared for the experience of just hanging out at a bar during the day and drinking.

I took the Deuce to Paris and walked to EI. I had the LVA coupon for 6 free drinks. I planned for a couple of Bailey's and coffee, a couple of White Russians, followed perhaps by a strawberry daiquiri and a Mai Tai. I grabbed a Weekly to read, put my 6 $1 tips on the bar. gave the BT my coupon and started with a Bailey's and coffee. It was good so I had another. I switched to a White Russian, but didn't like it.

There was no one around to talk to, so I started reading. The LV Weekly had a good story about Amazon fires. Years ago, I traveled hammock class from Peru, down the Amazon in Brazil. I found it spectacular, so I had an interest in the topic. I asked for a strawberry daiquiri, but it was some premix that had yet to freeze. She asked me to try it, but I found it an undrinkable syrup. She offered to blend one, but I settled on a Mai Tai. That was drinkable, but I wasn't ordering another. I went back to the coffee and ended with a house made root beer. I was getting bored had ordered all my drinks within an hour, and was feeling a little buzzed. Not every BT at that bar likes those coupons. I think mine warmed up. I probably accounted for over half her bar tips for that hour. I spent another 20 minutes drinking my root beer. It reminded my of when my mom took my sister and I to A&W every Friday. My day drinking foray had been fun enough, but it was over. I stepped out of Paris and right onto a bus heading downtown. It's about 1:15pm. More of the day later.

I am headed to the Four Queens for four nights next month. I got a so-so offer from them for December, especially considering the amount of coin-in I gave this summer. Two nights BOGO at a casino rate (35 a night for the south tower the rest of the nights) and 40 dollars free play. I am planning to play almost exclusively there this trip, so I think my chances are pretty certain of getting the rest of the nights comped on the back end. I have read elsewhere on here that they are stingy with up-front room offers. Perhaps their lack of resort fees means they don't have much trouble getting the rooms booked at sticker price otherwise.

Best of luck! Enjoying the TR.

Thanks Gutshot. I think that the problem is that you played a little there on a day that you ate there while you were staying at EC. There are other members better versed in 4Q's comp structure, but I think that in addition to daily coin in average, they have a trip average. If you stay and play a few days with a strong daily average and then come back and play a little a couple days later, they may consider it as one trip.

    11/6 Weds afternoon and night.

This day just sort of unfolded and there is not going to be a lot of gambling to talk about. This turned into a beer day. I got back to the D and finally started playing at 2pm. I hit Q's for $35.50. The SF got hit and I quit down $30 with 52 points.

As I was coming back from the EI to DT, I saw a new place, Able Baker Brewing. It's a little South of Hop Nuts on Main. After doing an earlier TR post, I caught the SDX to the Arts District stop. Since it was happy hour there, I stopped a Hop Nuts first. It has really matured as a brewery. Their tap list was the fullest that I've ever seen it. They had 15 of their own and 4 guest taps, Their own beers included 5 IPA's (3 DIPA's), 2 imperial stouts, a porter, Red, Golden, Pale, wheat, Belgian, Berry Sour, and Hoppy Lager, They now have 6,12 and 16 oz servings. They have a HH everyday 4 to 7pm. The HH excludes most of the bigger beers. I had a Green Mamba at 8.2 % and 100 IBU's which was great. I also had another IPA, perhaps Hopenator which paled in comparison. The other IPA's that I tasted were Hazeilla NW DIPA (also a favorite), Happy Echelon WC DIPA, and Chasing Clouds NE IPA. I also tried two stouts, Omniscient Imperial Stout and Spiced Imperial Stout, both at 9% and 64 IBU's. I loved all the IPA's except for Hopenator which was merely drinkable. Of the beers I tried, only Hopenator and Green Mamba are included in the HH. The Berry Sour is less sour than normal. They also have a collaboration beer, Forbidden Fruit, with 3 other local breweries. It wasn't for me. I thought it was too warm out to adequately appreciate their stouts.

Next up was supposed to be Able Baker Brewing again, but I had heard that there was another new place just around the corner. I had somehow heard about CratHaus and looked at their website. I didn't like the look of the tasting room and the beers looked pretty pedestrian. When I poked my head in, I still didn't like the look of the place, but they had 23 taps. They charge $2 for 4 oz samples, but Ryan, at least , overpours by at least half an once. I had a 9% Saison, a 6.6% NE IPA, a 9. 5 % Imperial IPA, a 7.8% Red IPA, an 8.3% Baltic Porter, and a 9% Scotch Ale. I was already drunk a couple of samples in. It was crowded when I came in, emptied, and got crowded again. I was mostly oblivious to everything but the beer, I was happy with my samples, too drunk to give an adequate review of them, and saw 6 others that I would like to try. If you don't want to buy your samples, Ryan was pouring 1 1/2 to 2oz tasters for free.

After this, I got back to Main and headed south to finally get to Able Baker Brewing. My notes are as scrambled as my consciousness, but I think that they had 28 taps. Travis was nice enough to provide the samples that I asked for and added some suggestions of his own. I didn't have a lot of drinking left in me and settled for 6 oz servings of Zombie Apocalypse, an IPA and Honey Dip, an Imperial Stout. I passed on their Barley Wine, but Travis poured me some of the Barrel Aged Honey Dip and the Chocolate Chip Honey Dip. The later is currently my favorite stout. This place has food and I had an excellent TI Dog which was bacon wrapped. The place is close to The STRAT and I caught the SDX back Down Town.

I started gambling again at 10:30 PM.I was still drunk, but know BP pretty well by now. I hit Q's for $41 at 10:40, 7's for $32 at 10:54, 6's for $31.75 at 11:00, 3's for $50 at 11:04, 6"s for $32.50 at 11:11 and Aces for $100 at 11:38. I was up $200 and about to quit until I noticed that the quad was still good. After losing $50 in 10 minutes, I gave up and called it a night up $150 with 217 points.

Wow, I didn't know that there were so many breweries down there, and it looks like 2 more are going into that area: Hudl Brewing and Beer District Brewing. I will have to swing down that way next trip.
