I had no trouble getting a comped room for three night at Flamingo that weekend. (Sat, Sun and Mon). I am by no means a High Roller - barely platinum. I thought that weekend would be quiet - week after superbowl and week before president’s day.

Looking forward to seeing the Flyers.

I am tempted to get a VGN hat or t-shirt next time we are in Vegas but I feel like I would be betraying my home team Blackhawks! My BIL's may excommunicate me.

Just got home yesterday, caught Dansk's somewhat astonishing (to me) win over Chicago.

Not to be a killjoy, but I was surprised at T-Mobile Arena. My wife and I have attended at least one home game of 29 different teams [three to go...], and thought the venue was above average at best. We expected a bit more wow factor, especially given it's newness.

The game was excellent, and Gallant has done a good job of knitting together the team.

The home crowd and PA announcer I thought were a little, I dunno, manic? We had the impression they were trying a bit hard, perhaps out of concern that they had to keep new fans interested. They needn't have worried, if that's the case; the on-ice talent will do just fine. In any event, I suspect 40% of any given home gate may be wearing visiting sweaters.

Still, a good game, good time and excellent location. Back in town in February for the Flames.

I’m happy for the Knights. Vegas can use some positive vibes and a successful local sports franchise is a healthy positive entertainment. Nothing not to like here.

I'm am excited with a Fleury vs Murray game. I hope, Fluery is back by the December 14 Game. Keeping my fingers crossed and debating on whether I should wear a Fluery Pens jersey to the game.

Wolves to get a goalie on loan from Toronto cause both goalies had to go to Vegas. Now dansk is hurt! Crazy

I'm not sure I have ever seen this onto their 4th goalie in a month

    Nice start, to be sure.

Still, they will fall back to where they belong in time.

It wasn't quite so early into the season, but the Flames used 6 goalies during December/January of the 1998/99 season, all but the original starter and backup got playing time because of injuries. It is all foggy now, but Ken Wreggett was the starter, which goes to show that they were already desperate for goaltending. Wreggett was injured and they had to go with two rookies, J.S. Giguere and Tyler Moss, as the goalies. They both got injured and the Flames traded for Andrei Trefilov, and used an emergency call up for prospect and junior league player, Tyron Garner from the OHL. They were able to sign Fred Brathwaite, who hey were also going to use as an emergency replacement, or maybe even a backup to Wreggett once Wreggett returned, but Brathwaite became a fan favorite and the Flames starting goalie, even posting the leagues best goals against average for a while.

That Fleury vs Pens matchup is looking unlikely each day. LV Sun says still no timetable for his return. He was on the ice a bit Monday but that was probably just for picture day. And now Murray left the game for the Pens. Game is losing its cache.

Was at nyny last night. Great atmosphere. Lots of jerseys around.

Prior to game , drum corps and cheerleaders march through casino.

    Watched outside at NFI bar.

Can’t imagine Raiders games when they come.

I hope they make the playoffs... well, it's pretty hard for them to miss the playoffs with their current record, so I hope they make it to the 2nd round of the playoffs. I should be in town during the 2nd round. I'd totally go to a game... maybe my team will turn around their fortunes and secure a playoff spot and make it to the 2nd round and play against VGK! I can dream, unfortunately my dreams involve me spending plenty of money! lol

Don't you have to hand in your Leafs sweater after a post like that?
