Great post Kevin, my wife & I love the Cosmo and we'll be back there in 2 weeks. Already have a sweet offer booked thru my host but I'm sure you'll be attracting many with this invite.

    Hi Kevin,

Thanks for stopping by. My husband and I have been loyal CET players and while we are not big time players, we both reach Diamond level in 2 trips to Vegas each year and are very happy with the offers we receive from them. With that being said, we both enjoy spending a little time each trip at the Cosmopolitan and have said we would like to try to stay there sometime. It's just hard to spend for a room somewhere when you always get your rooms for free somewhere else. Unfortunately, with the Canadian dollar so low these days, we will not be back in Vegas until the end of June/early July but if your offer still stands at that time, we would definitely like to give you a shot.

Welcome to the board Kevin. It is really nice to have a Casino Rep on the board and I hope you become an active member like those from other casinos.

I have been loyal to Cosmo since my first stay there back in 2013. I along with 20 or so member of the board organized a slot pull in your new HL Room over MLK weekend. A member of your staff (sadly cannot remember her name) was connected through me with another board member. It was extremely nice to have her reach out to us to see if we needed any assistance or anything else. She was very friendly and helpful. If her name comes to me or anyone else remembers I wanted to pass it along to you.

Again welcome and thanks for coming aboard!

Thank you for taking time to write and introduce yourself. Been a Gold card member last few years and frequent visitor at your property.
I noticed Cosmo doesn't let player access to Win/Loss Statement online. Only request in person or via fax, email.
Mlife, Wynn, and Venetian/Palazzo Win/Loss statement are available online.
    Any plan to change this?

I have a same host for last 3 years but did not use my host to book my reservation. Very first time I contacted my host to make a reservation, my host offered half of Cosmo corporate offer I already received in Email. So I just booked thru 1-800 line.
So since then I don't bother contact my host.

I stay at Cosmo 3-5 times a year. Gold card.
Never get an upgrade room, Never gotten any additional comp from host because I did not book thru my host.

My Question is Does my host still get credit for my play?

Welcome Kevin. I've been enjoying the Cosmo for the last couple of years and tend to get fair comps for my play level. But I have a question about gambling days, do ya'll base theoretical by day or by trip? Some around here avoid playing on checkout morning as it really could deflate your average if you only put an hour or two of play in as opposed to your normal daily play.

And is the starbucks in addition to Va Bene? I have to say Va Bene is one of my favorites.

I appreciate all of the replies to this message and the overwhelming response I have received in my inbox. If I haven’t responded yet, I promise I will. I am not sure I was prepared for the initial influx of emails but I am grateful for the opportunity to earn your business.

There have been several questions raised, and I am not sure how to reply to them while keeping the initial message intact, so I will try and tackle them as best I can. In response to ‘Funkhouser’, here is what I can say about the Cosmopolitan of today, and why we should be the casino of choice for true gamers.

First and foremost, I want to talk about our Identity Membership & Rewards program. My initial email referenced the ‘supreme reinvestment’ a gamer receives. That was not just marketing talk, it is a mathematical fact. Allow me to assume that you’re already at least a Sterling Tier customer. A tier that is earned after only 4,000 points ($10,000 of coin in). Your earning ratio for points then becomes $1.25 of coin in to earn 1 point. And once you reach Platinum, your earning ratio becomes 1 point for every $0.83 cents of coin in. Much like many of the bigger companies on the strip, our points are worth .01 each. (This play references reels/video reels.)

There is not another casino in Las Vegas that is rewarding you at that ratio. We have a very nice comparison chart that shows this is on our website, but in simple terms you truly are losing free money/comps by not playing with us. $10,000 of coin in for a sterling or gold member earns $80 in free slot play (or comps) at Cosmopolitan. And if you’re Platinum, $10,000 of coin in would earn you $120. If you’re Platinum at my immediate neighbors on either side of me, you would earn $43 in free slot play. If you have a Red Card, you’d earn $67, and in Grazie you would earn approximately $60. And that’s just for $10,000 in coin in.

In general, I have the exact same slot machines that everyone else has. So think of the slot floor like buying gasoline for your car. If you had three gas stations selling the same quality of gas, you’d probably elect for the least expensive one. I’ve tried to design our loyalty program in the same way. The question shouldn’t be, “why do I want to play slots at the Cosmopolitan?” The question to ask is “why am I not playing slots at the Cosmopolitan?” And when you play and stay at Cosmopolitan, you get the benefit of having the only balconies in town. It really is a sweet experience.

Additionally, Video Poker earning points at 1 point for every $6.00 of coin in is also pretty strong, plus our paytables are tops relative to my competitors. For what it’s worth, although I enjoy Cleopatra 2, Buffalo, and Double Top Dollar the most, I also play a lot of video poker. I have been drawn to Double Bonus Deuces Wild lately. I have been a loyal Double Double Bonus player for years, but this game is the most fun I have had playing video poker in years. It probably doesn’t hurt that I have hit two royal flushes in the past 15 days! If you haven’t played it before and you play video poker, I strongly recommend it.

To further answer a few of Funkhouser’s questions – I think once you game with us, you’ll see how lucrative the direct mail offers can be. I will admit that our online functionality is not quite where I want it to be. We are launching a new website over the next 72 hours (some of you may already be able to see it) and over the coming months we hope to add more Identity features and functionality to it. There should be no issues using stated tier benefits per the terms of our Identity program, so you’ve have to provide specifics for me on how to help there – but as you said, you were just paraphrasing from other previous posts. I am sure over time that issues have been experienced, but I will do what I can to solve any problems if they are recurring.

I will now try and answer the other various questions I have seen posted to me:

Win/Loss Statements – Again, another feature we hope to improve upon over the coming months. It wasn’t until this past year that we were able to at least provide information on how to get your statement online. An automated Win/Loss statement is something I hope to have fully operational by the end of 2016.

Starbucks will be added, but we’ll still have Va Bene on the first floor. The second floor Va Bene is being converted to EggSlut in the coming months. Everyone will be lined up waiting for one of those breakfast sandwiches!

Filming of Bonus Rounds on Slot Machines – I didn’t know we prevented this. It will be stopped immediately. Film away, and be sure to tag us on all the various social media platforms!

Although I am not a slots player (I am very much a table games player), it is nice to see this sort of outreach by a major Strip casino. Thanks, Kevin.

I've been to the Cosmopolitan several times but only for fleeting moments. I've been loyal to mLife but my eye has been wandering -- hoping to check the Cosmopolitan out for serious gaming purposes sometime in the near future -- it's a casino that is definitely a good fit for my age demographic. (Late 20s millennial.)

Wow really digging your response Kevin deffinately going to give you guys another trip since I fell off your guys radar and been doing mostly drop in play and been at aria and bellagio lately for the last couple years.

Get some $5 bonus times machines not sure I have seen those at your property?
Some older high limit igt games like money storm, valhalla.
Wicked winnings 4 is also a favorite.

Thanks for the comparo of comps that is a big difference.
Are you back end comps for meals etc.. Pretty compared to other properties?

As far as the recording I have not had any issues nor have many friends at cosmo either in hl or on main floor. It was probably just a new staffer who didn't know the policy and had moved from a property who didn't allow filming. I think most properties have eased up on it.

    Kevin,

Thanks for reaching out here. I'm in sales and I always appreciate people who go the extra mile to earn business. Customer service can make or break a product especially when competition is close and tight. I respect the effort!

I'm not a slot player. I'm a craps and blackjack player. However I must say that the Cosmo is a fantastic place. I stopped in right after it opened and several times since and the dealers were top notch. I've never stayed there but I'll admit that as much as I love the Palazzo the allure of the rooms with the balconies and the view of the strip and fountains is pretty strong.

I'll be out there for MM and will be sure to stop in.

Thanks for the posts Kevin. Your focus might bring Cosmo back to where it should be. The website would be welcome. Many regulars were so mad when the site just stopped showing the customers points after a year or whatever it was, they just gave up and laughed. As to having all the same machines, that is pretty much true I would guess. Hopefully you still have some of the older ones and not all video like Aria. (big mistake).

One open question that regulars like to know. CET is very clear that they track adt on a 24 hour basis, somewhere around 6am to 6am. Yea, the host looks at the total trip for backend comps but offers, etc are tied to that daily ADT. Mlife looks at the whole trip and does not do daily. Which way does Cosmo do it?

Getting ready to send you an email for a visit in March.

Our marketing offers are based on trip play.

As you would expect, any additional comps on top of what was given in the offer are based on play - but that's pretty standard for back end comps.

Glad you mentioned this. I happened to see it the other day, and thought I'd been hacked! I clicked on a legit link to your site, and then it went to another site instead.

New site definitely looks a lot cooler than the previous one. Kudos to your web folks. Looking forward to enhanced functionality in the future too.

As far as game selection, I'd like to see some additional VP options. Examples: Dream Card, Multi-Strike, Quick Quads, Super Triple Play. I think there might only be 1 Hot Roll VP machine on the main floor too (unless some of the machines had different gaming options on them...memory is a little fuzzy).

Please bring Blackjack Switch...Only reason I split my visits to COSMO with Aria is the Blackjack Switch...Also increase the Freebet Blackjack limit t o$5K like Aria!

Kevin, Thanks for the detailed response. Based on the surface of your post, once you establish an initial gaming history and reach that first hurdle the program does seem more attractive.
One question of course is how room comps factor in to return value. Obviously the room inventory at Cosmo is one of the most attractive assets, as such the comp value of these rooms are going to be
weighted much higher (as they should), are current rack rates figured as the comp value to the player or is there a whole sale rate that marketing team is given as a comp value.

What I mean by my question is this. If you take the CET program for example once I reach a certain tier level and ADT room comps are plentiful at preferred properties and outside of high volume weekends, the same level of play
typically generates similar offers. Meaning the total front end offer is not usually reduced because a particular weekend has lower room availability or higher bookings. Obviously marketing offers to players are probably adjusted based on high
volume weekends like holidays but how do gaming customers get prioritized with your more limited room inventory and are there disadvantages to established players who may prefer to visit on higher volume weekends (eg 4th of july, labor day, etc).

Translation: If I am a higher tier player in your Identity club how difficult will it be to get free room offers on busy weekends, right now certain other players clubs
offer guaranteed room availability to their highest tier level guests.

Without going into too much detail, the casino guest (and their comp allotment) is not being hit for the retail selling price of the room.

As for peak weekends/holidays, just like any other casino - as demand increases so to would the criteria to get a comp room. But qualified casino guests do not have problems getting a room when they want one.
