    Hi Kevin,

Thank you for your invitation! I love the Cosmo and have actually never stayed there, but have dined and played there a couple of times in the past (I LOVE the Wicked Spoon).

Going to Vegas this weekend and looking forward to immersing myself in the Cosmo experience. :)

GreekJim - Yes - you're able to use your regular comps and be in the BLOOM event.

    NickyJ -
1: We currently don't do daily slot tournaments, but they're coming. We plan to do something with daily tournaments in the near future.
2: Our tournaments don't include an awards party in the sense of a sit down dinner if that is what you are referencing. However, depending on the level of the event there is food provided on multiple days and we always have an open bar.
3: Here are some recent and future tournament prize structures.
Our tournament machines I consider to have the best game in the city of all the ones that have a 3 reel mechanical game (the most fun program itself, there are some boring ones out there). Generally, our tournaments are three 10 minute rounds. Often there is a fourth round bonus where a player may drop their lowest score.

    $100,000 Prize Pool
    1st - 30K
    2nd - 15K
    3rd - 10K
    4th - 5K
    5th - 3K
    6-10 - 1500
    11-25 - 500
    26-40 - 300
    41-60 - 200
    61+ - 150

    $100,000 Prize Pool
    Main Tournament
    1st - 25K
    2nd - 10K
    3rd - 5K
    4-10 - 1K
    11-20 - 750
    21-30 - 500
    31-60 - 200
    61+ - 100

Bonus Side Tournament (Drawing to enter + point earners) - 25 players only
    1st - 15K
    2nd - 5K
    3rd - 2500
    4th - 1500
    5th - 1000

This weekend's tournament is only for 75 players:
    1st - 25K
    2nd - 10K
    3rd - 5K
    4th - 3500
    5th - 2000
    6-10 - 750
    11-30 - 350
    31-75 - $200
Guest who earn enough points on the casino floor get to play in a 4th round bonus that has two minutes on the timer and that score is added to your overall score.

I hope this answers some questions and entices some more players to join us!

Other than your offer to match slot tourney invites (which is awesome), how does an existing Cosmo gambler get these invites? Meaning, are they targeted at a very specific set of players, or are they more like a generic marketing offer?

The bulk of my gaming is @ the Cosmopolitan now, so my tourney invites from other places aren't worth matching :)

Any plans for video poker tournaments? I'd love to play in one at the Cosmo. I'm primarily video poker and craps when staying at Cosmo.

Just had a fantastic experience with Kevin and his team - booked in for April for two nights, plus some extra fancies, looking forward to revisiting the property.

BreakEven - All of our event invites are based on your play with us. Depending on the prize pool and quantity of participants determines what guests will be invited. So to answer your overall question - each event is targeted at a specific group of guests that meet whatever the criteria is for that event.

(That's pretty much how all casino invites work - that is why I am willing to do match offers. My hope is that I provide a better casino experience, better hotel room product, better F&B offerings, better loyalty rewards program - and that if you earned those invites somewhere else, you'll play to the same level at Cosmopolitan and start to earn those offers directly from me in the future and leave those other casinos behind.)

Great to meet you this past weekend Kevin thanks for the hospitality the slot tournament was great and loving the slot floor at Cosmo. It was nice to talk casino industry with someone for a while since it is so intriguing to me.

Great wide selection of many of the games people are wanting to play. Looking forward to a possible May trip so will be in touch with you or Ricci.

    Thanks again

Hi everybody. This is my first post. I'm a newbie lol. Anyways, I played at Cosmo back in February and got a welcome offer, and now a Macy's card offer in April:) My question is this: Does anyone know if they will allow you to substitute free play for the Macy's card? Thanks everyone!!!!

Just want to say how impressed in am with Kevin.:nworthy:
I contacted him this week about his great offer and heard back from him within 2 hrs,
I am only able to stay one night but his offer was very generous and much appreciated.
The host he had contact me also got back to me very quickly and now all is set for Thursday March 10th.
I have always wanted to stay at Cosmo and now will have the chance to do so.
Great job Kevin and Ricci--really looking forward to the Cosmo experience

Mr. Sweet- I hope that this offer is still available as my DW and I have just booked a trip to Vegas for June. She has sent you an e-mail and we look forward to hearing back from you. We have visited the casino but have never tried the hotel, but have heard good things about it.

    Hello Kevin,

To help plan future trips do you have the slot tournament schedule for the remainder of the year ?

Wish I knew about this earlier. Ugh, I wonder how much play I'd need to do in order to get a two bedroom suite. Next time I guess.

That notwithstanding, thanks for being on the board. :)

Great Question! I am working on our new website to include an "Upcoming Events" section, so hopefully you'll see that in the next few weeks.

But here is the upcoming event schedule:

April 6-9 - $50,000 BLOOM Giveaway. Open to everyone. Earn drawing tickets for every 5,000 slot points earned on floor. $20,000 top prize, 10 winners. Must be present at drawing to win. Can be combined with other offers.

April 21-24 - Macy's Gift Card Giveaway and Drawing. Every 5,000 points earned on the floor = $50 in Macy's or Identity Play (free slot play). There is also a $5,000 drawing Saturday evening. Open to everyone. Cannot be combined with other offers.

May 8-10 - $35,000 Spring Fling Slot Tournament. Expecting about 130 players. Top prize = $10,000. (For anyone in town during those days and not staying with us - if you email me directly a current casino offer, I can look to put you in the tournament.) Tournament play is Monday & Tuesday.

May 12-14 - $85,000 Double Take Slot Tournament. Expecting 75-80 players. TWO tournaments in one weekend, each with a $20,000 grand prize. There is also a $10,000 drawing component to this event in addition to the tournaments. Great EV here!

All of June - $100,000 June Jackpot Giveaway - Each Saturday in June we will give away $25,000. Open to everyone. Need not be present to win. Earn THREE (3) drawing tickets for every reel/video reel jackpot hit. Earn ONE (1) drawing ticket for every video poker jackpot hit. 10 winners selected each Saturday night. So even if you're not staying at Cosmopolitan during your June visit to Vegas - this is a great reason to come over and give us some action. Bonus: If you ARE present at the drawing and you win, you get $1,000 extra!

July 21-23 - Summer Classic $500 Buy In Slot Tournament. Expecting 100-120 players. $500 buy in - $50,000 CASH first prize. This event is a lot of fun and one I wish I could participate in! Invited guests only. Comparable buy in tournament offers would be considered for guests looking to play (ie... if you receive a buy in invite from one of my neighbors, and want to play in this - let me know).

September 29-Oct 1 - Slot Tournament weekend (additional details TBA).

November 10-12 - $2,500 buy in slot tournament (additional details TBA).

Also - We are bringing back our Holiday Cash Back event for the 2nd year. This was very well received last year. From August 1 - early December - all slot points earned are going towards our Holiday Cash Back event. Where you redeem your points earned for COLD HARD CASH. No kitchen supplies, no TV's... just cash. These points are earned in a separate bucket in addition to your normal comp points.

    Hopefully this helps!

    Kevin,

THANK YOU for the information you provided and especially this most recent post. As an East Coaster it a great to get info about events like this well in advance for planning purposes. I played pretty heavily at Cosmo some years ago and enjoyed my stays there. I liked my host (Jamie, he is still coded to me), got good offers with decent free play but for some reason I stopped playing there (can't really remember actually and I did/do like my assigned host). Anyway, once I became Seven Stars at CET and started playing at Wynncore and getting decent room and free play ($500 typically) offers there, Encore and Caesars have been my most recent hotel stay combos for my typical 8-10 day trips (a full week + two weekends).

I do like Cosmo, however, and looking at some photos my brother sent me of his room (Champster is my brother and you assisted him -- thank you!) reminded me how much I really liked Cosmo. I love the balcony. Some of my most favorite Vegas room memories including taking a cat nap on a summer night with the balcony door a little ajar to get a breeze while also faintly hearing street noise and the fountain music. Nirvana.

I am not looking for any assistance but I will plan to give Cosmo some decent play one day during my April trip. I'm getting basic offers for comped rooms (no slot play) and for some of the tourneys like Spring Fling (can't attend). With some decent play one day hopefully my offers will go back up to where they where back in the day for my August/birthday trip.

In any event, thanks again for posting this info. I like to play where I stay and I'll be staying at CP from April 6th to 9th but I'll still do some playing at Cosmo during that period, maybe on the 9th. What time is the drawing on the 9th? Or is it the following day?

Thank you Kevin. Your upcoming events post is most helpful. I got an invite for the Spring Fling tournament but cannot make it. Can you share some details on your Sept 29 - Oct 1 slot tournament? It's not really the prize info I care about but is curious to know if the actual play would only happen on Sept 30 & Oct 1? If first round/registration is on the 30th, about what would be the latest time a player can join? The reason I am asking is because I would like to know if I can fly out on the 30th morning (west coast) and still make it...

Thanks for keeping us up to date!
