Up until midnight last night on a major roll in Dragon Power and Monkey God. Got to my goal of 4,400 gems, now thinking I might go for 1.8k more and take the Sunday night following my two weekend nights. Or, maybe not. Not sure my sanity can take it.

Has anybody else found the evening scratcher side games (earn X orbs in Dragon Power, win a free game on Monkey God, etc) taking a lot longer to hit than normal? A few nights ago, it took me over 900 spins to get a free game on Monkey God during the event where I feel like that comes up quite regularly in normal play. So far this evening, I'm 427 spins into Dragon Power and have hit the orbs 1 time. I only finished with 7 orbs which is the first time I've ever had that few. Outside of the scratcher events, I'm not seeing these same results.

Of course variance comes into play on a slot machine...but it seems to have been like this every scratcher event (especially the evening) for the past 7-10 days.

I actually hammered those games last night with orbs coming up every time I looked at it. Gained about 400 gems in three or four hours. My best session yet. Went over my goal and am still doing well today. Hong Bao seems to be the right game today.

I've been playing for three months. Level 66, earned 6,300 Gems so far, breaking Piggy Bank 4 times. My problem with this game is that the daily coin bonuses don't increase as you reach the higher levels, meaning your coins collected don't come close to earning a Gem for $8M coins played which required only 800K coins played at the early levels! Coin bonus amounts should increase as you climb to higher levels which require 10X-15X more play to earn a Gem!

No, you're just in a bad stretch. I just got all 50 orbs in 17 minutes.

They’re trying to make you buy coins, so that system goes hand-in-hand with that philosophy.

As Johnny said, they're trying to make you buy coins, It's not just an app to freeroll everyone a stay at the Wynn.

You either have to buy a lump of chips and have a punt, or grind it out the slow & steady way as you are currently.

42 days in and I'm at 5,000 gems. Only bought the piggybank once for $4.99. Anyone know how Wynn makes money off of me? They're giving me about $500 in hotel rooms for $4.99? How can they do it or do they just want to get me into the casino? They'll be sad when I sit at the Race Book all day and make my $2 wagers, I think.

Not everyone is going to be at 5,000 gems and only broken the piggy bank once :)

Some people will spend money on the app, others will gamble when there etc.

I can ageee to this. While I have not spent any money on the game, I plan to spend some money onsite - in the casino, at the buffet, and probably even letting the wife enjoy a day at the spa.

I'm impatient, so spent ~$200 and got my 10k gems in about a week, lol.

I'll play some poker, eat at the restaurants, and probably drop some cash in the slots, too.

I saw it as $200 to get 4 nights that were coming out at $1.2k when I looked. I could probably have done the same over a couple months, but impatient and lazy people like me are why it's around for the ones who get it for nothing :)

I have plenty of patience since I knew when I started the venture I had around 8 months to try and achieve something.

When I originally booked the dates, the savings were about $1450 for the four nights; and just looking again now, the same dates are right at $1600. If I had spent any money on the game it would have been worthwhile, but time was my factor that I had working for me.

This will be our first stay at the Wynn and can say I’m looking forward to it. Might make it hard to convince the wife to stay anywhere else in the future, but that’s what vacations are - for enjoyment.

We are relatively new to the app. Started playing just before our last trip. Up until last night I had just about 400 gems with about 90 million. I had been betting as small as you could and letting it auto play as much as possible. I decided to up my bet last night on the Lion Kill game to 480K. After a few hours of play I went up over 1000 gems. Currently at 1409 with about 140 million left. If I hadn't of gotten tired I probably could have rode out even more. I can see how this will get much more tedious as I level up and i will take longer to collect gems.

Considering I've spent nothing at all I will likely get enough to cover a 2 night stay. My wife will probably do the same. Has anyone been able to link 2 stays together from different accounts?

Hey Marky, Well, it hasn't been without a good deal of obsession. I love Vegas, and any chance for free rooms sparked my intensity—used to get free rooms with minimum play at Ballys and Rio but that dried up a few years ago. I'm retired so have the time to look at the app during the course of the day and, to tell you the truth, it has become a part of my day. Have booked a Friday/Saturday in August and am now looking for Breeders Cup weekend in November. Stayed at the Venetian once and the Mirage many years ago, but never anything as nice as the Wynn. Really looking forward to it.

And, yes, I do gamble. The $2 wager at the race book was a bit tongue in cheek. My point was that I'm not sure why the app exists in the first place. My deduction is that Vegas, especially the Wynn, are so expensive overall, that they're simply doing some out reach to the masses.

I don't doubt it, as I was on there all day every day while I was getting my gems, lol. I'm self employed and work from home, which made it somewhat easier to keep at it while I was working. Vegas is my only big holiday every summer, so I'm in the same boat as you, though I don't gamble much and always have to pay for my rooms :)

I've got enough gems left over now for a couple nights after, and will hopefully get some for a split trip with Reno or NY in the future. I've not stayed there since I had a couple weeks there on a freebie through poker that I upgraded to the tower suites. As you say, it's very luxurious, and I'm looking forward to it, too. I was looking to extend and make it the last 12 nights of my trip, but paying for the 8 was coming out double the price of Vdara, so I'll have to settle for the 4 :)

I'd imagine there are plenty of people that will throw some money at the game for entertainment purposes, and see the rooms as a bonus. We're all wired differently, you see from this thread, and I imagine it was well researched before putting into play. They obviously have a long game, if they're looking at adding other things in the future.

I'd imagine you'll be ok linking at check-in, but worth firing support a quick e-mail. They're pretty quick getting back to you usually.
