@luck.ofthe.draw - I see you’re in Burbank. As an east coast person, that was rarely sick in elementary school & middle school, I can only relate Burbank to this!

 

I think Jackson is plotting his escape rather than just enjoying the view. He is about to enlist Chloe in on his plan...

 

Kidnapped M from....wherever he was on the Strip, showed him around my new place. Feels WAY bigger walking through the unit too.

Now the kitties are home in my room, just chillin. There is a Feliway plug in so hopefully it should help Jax too.

 

We went to Costco for some stuff, and then to Lowe's!


I was impressed with the wine selection! My Costcos in LA and San Diego aren't this nice!




And then, I scored at Petsmart! I got this cool gravel vac for my aquarium and a replacement filter for Swimmy's new tank. Exciting stuff.

I went to Williams Sonoma and drooled over some new dinnerware..... anddddd was sad to find out the Plymouth Birds and Dogs collection I'd been eyeing was not at this location.




Then we swung by Lee's Liquor and got....what did we get.... oh, bubbly!

Now we're home recharging at my place with coffee and hot cider, before heading to the Strip!


Cats are adjusting to the big world that's all ours!

I got my Guinness with a lid cause I don't want to spill it while walking, duh.

 

We had a fucking fantastic dinner of pizza!!!

SO good. The smoked bacon tasted like it was fresh from the smoker. And cotto ham, and light, yet flavor-packed fennel sausage... plus sunny side up eggs, with a garnish of fresh black pepper. It added an amazing aromatic element to the pie.

Congratulations on your move. I hardly have time to get on here anymore. Sorry you couldn’t get to Texas - housing is ridiculous now. Vegas you have mountains close by and and National Parks a couple hours away. And it’s Vegas!!! @Sonya is going to have to pin a permanent never ending TR from you on here.

Congratulations in your move! I want to be like you when I grow up. Spoiler alert: I am over a decade older than you.

I cannot even motivate myself to move to a new apartment in the same city I live in, let alone move to a new state. I have been in my apartment for 23 years now.

The whole working remote opens up a whole new world and it sounds like you will take advantage of it, which is super exciting. The closest I have gotten to taking advantage of it is booking a 3 month trip away from here, to work remote, but I still refuse to give up my apartment and move. But YOU, you MOVED. That is so cool.

I hope you continue to update us on your new life in Las Vegas. My job went public earlier this year so I was able to finally see all the equity I have been awarded turn into actual cash. One of the places I search for homes online is obviously Las Vegas. I don't know that it is the best idea for ME being that GAMBLOR. But I would love to read about your new life there.
