Just saw the line moved to -6 and Broncos ML to +205.

Also saw something interesting posted on another board. If you're going to bet Broncos, you'll get better value from Peyton Manning MVP +360.Thoughts?

Imo Peyton for MVP is a lock if Broncos win.

If Broncos win, Osweiler will be MVP.

Interesting but if Denver wins, it will be because of their defense. And the MVP could come from the D.

It certainly could but I would say chances of that happening are under 5-10% given that this is most likely Mannings last game. Even last year when Butler won the game, Brady got MVP.

That's because Brady deflated the balls. The win wouldn't have happened without that.

QBs have won 27/49 or 55% of the SB MVPs. So right now, the odds can be calculated as 33% chance that Denver wins (since you have to lay 200 moneyline to win 100), multiplied by 55% to give 18.33% chance. This is 1 in 5.46. So +360 payout is not a "fair" payout.[IMG]

You're not taking into consideration that recently the NFL has become more QB friendly. 7 out of last 9 Super Bowl MVP winners are QBs. You also have to take into consideration that its Peytons last SB.

Personally I don't believe its a good bet because I'm backing Carolina but its certainly the best bet (maybe even a hedge) if you're betting on the Broncos.

    I agree it's a moot point.
But when Seattle won two years ago, a defender won the MVP. And again, Denver's D will be the reason they win the game if they win.

By the way, if you use 7/9 instead of 27/49, the odds become 1 in 3.9, so closer to +360.

If you really want to bet on Peyton for MVP, you should parlay it with Denver ML, IF they let you, since these are not unlinked events.
But I don't think they allow parlays on prop bets.
