I would thought that is true for each and every casino in this country and anywhere in the world, today.

 

I think I just have (had) a more positive outlook on corruption in casinos after corporations took over.

On the other hand, he mentioned that the employees are tight with security, so if a player wanted to tip a dealer in the parking lot, for example (where they wouldn't share with other dealers or get taxed), security would also delete that footage.

My room is on the third floor, the casino is floor 2, and the hotel lobby is floor 1.

Occurred to me I don’t need to take the elevator, I can just go up these stairs to floor 3.

Trying to figure out why the playful OO lettering in Restrooms. Nowhere else I could see has the Restrooms sign with anything but two non interlocking O letters.



Thought maybe it implies unisex, but they’re still segregated.

Closest I can think of is the Gucci logo.

The GVR fitness center is accessible through the orchard or the pool. You sign a waiver, but they don’t card you (ID nor room key). This was my experience a few times before too.

They’re open 8am to 8pm daily.




Also handy to grab some bottled waters, which they leave on each elliptical and in the fridge.

Calm and relaxing, and great view of the pool.

You're totally right. Didn't even think about them making the Os look like rings for the weddings in the ballrooms down that hall.

Avoided the previous server who said “beautiful” to everything, but where I was seated I could hear him behind the bar.

He continued his “beautiful”s plus loudly humming Toreador and doing cartoon sound effects and singing excerpts from “I Believe I Can Fly.”

He could be the happiest employee at GVR.

 

Have you tried the desserts at Tides? I go to Tides a lot (LOVE the pan roast and the lobster roll) but have never tried the dessert...
