The Doctor out in Vegas! Live trip report 7/3 to 7/11. Nobu/Circa/Cromwell

Getting all of the final things ready for Mrs D and my Vegas trip to start. We’re off early Saturday morning on my longest trip ever in Vegas. Can a Vegas trip ever be too long?

Starting at NOBU for 2 nights then Circa for 3 and Cromwell for 3. Got separate comp offers from CET for the stays. Also using my diamond elite airfare credit.

Found a nice host at Circa that was able to comp us there. Excited to check things out.

Feels like forever since I was on my last trip to Vegas with my dad. That trip worked in my favor as we cleaned up. Was my most successful trip. The CET host definitely anxious to get us back there.

Also on the agenda is the Garth Brooks concert the 10th. Wife a big fan. I know 3 or 4 songs of his.

Got our Absinthe tickets, Amalfi, and Old homestead reservations.
A no go on Nobu reservations. They were all booked up. I thought there was supposed to be some kind of priority reservation you get when staying at the Nobu. It is my fault for procrastinating on that though.

Gonna have to look to see where to use my CET celebration dinners. I have last years also to use.

Celebration dinner: Giada's! Dined there on Tuesday and loved every minute of it. Have a great trip!

 

At the airport way too early. On the upgrade waiting list but I don’t think we will get.

Flight got in a little early. Our limo driver met us and got us to Caesars.

we get to the hotel and I try checking in at the diamond checkin. They politely tell me I have to check in at the Nobu counter.

We get to Nobu and they offer me the Hakone suite for $200 a night extra on my comp. Seems like a good deal since it goes for 700-800 a night when I’ve looked earlier.

Hit a little bit of my favorite spin poker in high limit. Up and Down for $50 which isn’t bad.

We were playing while we were waiting for the room.
Down maybe 700 and at 1500 tier credits maybe.

finally they got us our Hakone suite at about 2. The room is super nice. Very spacious and decked out.

my favorite part has to be the blinged out fancy toilet. it’s a Toto neorest. Tons of controls and features. Bidet, heating, you name it. The control panel for it is pretty intimidating. It took me a while to change the settings to not have a heated seat.

Tried the Caesars William hill Sportsbook app. it looks the exact same as the William hill app in Illinois. Not super impressed.
had an offer to bet $50 in the app and get 5000 reward points.

Had lunch at Bobby’s Burger Place at the Caesars food court. I think it replaced smash burger.

I thought it was ok- but just not worth what they were charging.

my burger was a crunch burger with potato chips on top. I could have sworn they were just some lays chips. For what they were charging, they should have some homemade chips.

might give them a shot with a shake.

Got my $600 diamond elite flight reimbursement. Pretty easy and it was just added to my bank.

After converting that I’m maybe 200-300 down.

Finishing up my 2500 tc and I got this at the high limit room spin video poker for $1125. Put me into the black for the day.

We ate dinner at amalfi. The food there was so amazing and very expensive. Shared the grilled octopus to start, scampi pasta, and a striped sea bass. Food was so fresh. Octopus was amazing. Sea bass was insanely good.
only regret was the scampi. Meh.

Finished the night off with shakes from Bobby’s Burger Place. So much better than the burgers we had earlier for lunch.

Walked to Resorts World from Venetian. So much to walk and so hot outside. Bad idea to do in the afternoon.

was getting killed in $25 blackjack and $25 UTH.
Then hit this bonus in the 6 card side game.
Mrs D bullied me into playing the side bet. It hit and I freaked out. Must have taken over 30 minutes to complete the w2g. Also took time at the cage to pay it out. I think because they gave me a players card when I got the w2g.

So we got the the cosmo for the slot pull but couldn’t find the group at first. So Mrs D puts money in the triple wheel video poker while I looked for the group.

Mrs D gets a full house, spins the wheel and wins 10000 at 50 cent denom.

so much fun meeting everyone tonight at the pull. Fun to put faces with all of the names.

We had the best food for lunch and dinner today.

for lunch- we went to the Black Tap at the Venetian. We scored bar seats. Great bartenders.
Tasty burger and an amazing blinged out shake.

dinner tonight at Old Homestead. Tomahawk ribeye was great. Used last years and this years anniversary celebration credit.

Almost forgot- first night at Nobu, we did the Absinthe show. Super funny, lots of cool acts, really raunchy. I would recommend if you aren’t easily offended.

Small venue. Drinks fairly expensive. Be careful if sitting in the front row- they might pick on you.
