How much do I love my dog? It is pouring and I mean pouring down rain. We have a ritual. I get home from work in the morning, feed her and then take her outside to pee and then she comes back in to get a treat. I am already damp from running out to my car this morning at work and I left my umbrella in the front seat -- didn't realize there was a monsoon coming. I carry her out to her favorite spot of grass and keep her covered while I get soaking wet again. Of course the alternative that she pees in the bed may have something to do with my sacrifice. My husband goes to bed around 2-4 am and sleeps until 10-12 depending on when he goes to bed. She goes back to bed with me in the morning. I wish I could sleep half as much as she does.
This is Miss Lucy. I’m lucky enough to be her driver and caretaker. She loves to go riding and to the park.
Not a picture, but a quote I saw in a comment section. It felt like it belonged here. “There is a cycle of love and death that shapes the lives of those who choose to travel in the company of animals. It is a cycle unlike any other. To those who have never lived through its turnings and walked its rocky path, our willingness to give our hearts with full knowledge that they will be broken seems incomprehensible. Only we know how small a price we pay for what we receive; our grief, no matter how powerful it may be, is an insufficient measure of the joy we have been given.” Suzanne Clothier
Meet Mr. Mustachio, aka Stache. He is a Pomeranian/Maltese. He got that name because when he was a puppy, the fur around his mouth was black, and it looked like he had a moustache! We call him Stache for short. He has a vast collection of bowties, too! Such a distinguished gentleman! The last picture is from a Christmas card we had sent out. My wife bought the angel outfit and the backdrop. It took us a while to get him to sit still for the photos. He was supposed to be wearing a halo but he wanted no part of that, haha.
My daughter is currently living with hubby and me while her only bathroom is undergoing a complete renovation. The timing wasn’t great as she just picked up her 10 week mini goldendoodle from the breeder. We have a seven year old “princess of the house” standard goldendoodle, Pax, is absolutely disgusted with another pup getting love. The bathroom project needs to be completed ASAP!
When Jaxon first joined our family, Buster was not pleased. Jaxon was determined to win his heart...and he did. It took a hot minute though.
After a year of searching for a little brother Pomeranian mix for our 1.5 y.o. Boston Terror, we were finally successful, with out paying an arm and a leg. Our Third set of each over the decades. Same Names. Franky and Baby, but the sexes changed this time. They Play all day and the pressure is finally off of me to entertain the demanding Terrier. Baby 12 weeks old and weighs 6 lbs. Franky is 25 lbs.
