Day 2 is off to a good start. Had a breakfast pastry and did some work. During lunch had fruit and played a bit of blackjack. Felt good to be able to walk around without a mask. Tonight is the liquor giveaway.

When you posted on my thread that you sold your house and were going to live out of a casino I thought maybe there was some exaggeration there. You really did it. Congrats. I understand waiting to buy another house and riding out the bubble. Enjoy the nomad life.

Still alive. I was evicted for one night - not really. I moved down to the Hyatt Regency in Coral Gables and went to the Miami Air and Sea show today. I'll post some photos later.

Back to the Hard Rock tomorrow to see Sammy Hagar.

Thanks, good luck in your decision. The housing market was absolutely crazy over here. So many folks moving from NY and California. It gives me a bit of flexibility as well. Next week my niece graduates so I just move to a casino closer to their house.

Very cool, good luck. I have seen slots where you can win a car.

If you see any where you can win a house, stick a hundy in for sure :)

I wish I could post a video here, I'll try a YouTube later. The planes are much more exciting when they move and have sound. Day at the beach and had delicious churros with my lunch then night at the hyatt regency coral gables. Had my mgm account linked to hyatt so I've got status here and receive and upgrade suite near the pool. Good deal.

Went to the Miami Seaquarium this morning and had lunch at Mister 01 pizza in Brickell. It was good but not the best pizza in Miami as Ive heard from others. Headed back to the Hard Rock. This time I am over at the Guitar Hotel. Two nights here before I'm back to the old section which I prefer. The pool over here is more for lounging around so it was packed with tourists. Not my scene.

This evening was Sammy Hagar. The bottom section of Hard Rock Live is still covid separated so it seemed empty, like a private performance with only 20 people. To big of a venue for too little of a crowd. He put on a good performance though. A mix of sammy hagar and van halen hits.

Afterwards was in the high limit area playing blackjack. The last 10 session all started off bad and this was no different. I ended up getting back to +700 and immediately called it quits. Very odd session though as a guy walked in who everyone knew. Not famous just in the casino often. He has down, took out a weird marker, played 3 hands then took a bathroom break. Then played a bit more and got up to talk to a host. Then played a bit more and got up for a drink. Then played a bit more and got up to take a phone call. Basically would play the first 5 hands in a shoe then would make up an excuse to get up and not be able to jump back in. Sounds like the game to increase the time spent at the table for comps without actually gambling. Everyone (deals, pit boss, waitress...) was on to this scheme but he did it anyways. Made for a very choppy game and I decided it was better to go to bed then keep being interrupted.

He was moving around well. When he would start a song he would give the year and put the perspective that it was 40 years ago.
