I opened a ticket with CR reservations support and below is their response.

    Code:
    Hello Emerson,

Thank you for your inquiry with us here at The Flamingo in las Vegas.

We apologize on the experience you are having with our online website. Currently the issue can be caused due to the suites not allowing discounts for the dates of travel. When using your Rewards account the system will automatically give the best rate available and rooms that are not eligible for discount will not appear. We apologize and hope this information helps. I am able to assist in getting the best rate available for any room/suite. Please provide some information and I will gladly offer the best rate for you.

    Dates of Check-in Check-out?
    Suite/room interested in booking?
How many guest occupying the room?
If additional guest are they Rewards members?
    Smoking or Non-Smoking?

With this information I will gladly offer the best rate available for the room/suite you are interested in booking. For immediate assistance please contact our reservations specialist at 1-800-CAESARS(223-7277).

    Best of Luck,

    Antonio Valdez

Very interesting. So, if you don;t get a discount, the room will not appear on your room options. I wonder if Antonio could/would give you a discounted suite rate if you did contact him with a specific request?

Nice. Please let us know what happens, maybe emailing through the website is the way to go.

Cause like I said, when I called, the guy I talked to said the suite I wanted wouldn't show up, so whatever system he was using was operating the same as the website.

Although, if the price they give you is the same as the public retail rate, there isn't much difference between that and just booking when you're not logged in, then adding your TR# later.

The funny thing is if I use my CR# I get a better rate than not logging in but if I add Pookie as a companion or use her ID alone the option disappears all together. So that to me indicated that there are different discounts based on tier and play.

Pookie has better a better ADT than me because we choose who's card to play based on our available time and bankroll for the visit. Short hits we use mine and bigger play days we use hers. We are both Diamond Plus.

I add my wife's number and she never uses her card and my choices are the same but a few more are added.

This is what drives me mad about CET, so I book suites as a member of the general public, then call and have them attach my account and remove resort fees. But check out this gem that I just got Tuesday. A "3 free nights plus free play" direct email offer, when entered, not only cost money, but MORE money than without the offer. WTF Caesar's?!?!? The icing on the cake is their site also flagged it as "Best Value" in all caps, with the higher price lol. I'm sure this is just a glitch because it's a different month's version of the same offer I used to book my April trip and that one did come out to zero out the door.

Oh and as for the 15% discount, it's a lie and they basically confirmed this. If you find my saga about booking the Bally's Presidential Suite I think I put most of the details there, but long story short, it was advertised to the public under 200 a night, VIP services said the best price they can give me was 35% higher than what the web site had for the public price, but I persisted on an open ticket asking if the advertised 15% discount exists or not. After responding to several form letters dodging that question, I finally got a response from management claiming the "actual rate" for the room was $650 a night, so the price they offered me over the phone, which again, was 35% higher than the price to John Q Public just going on the web site and putting in a credit card, was a greater than 15% discount off "advertised rate" even though when I booked while logged out, it told me the $179 per night was a 35% savings over "normal rate."

I don't know if your situation fits this, and I think you're probably familiar with the concept, but the throw-ins from an offer can sometimes push you over the amount they're willing to comp you.

There are times when I can get a certain room type comped if I don't use an offer but I can't when I appy an offer with FP & RC.

So the diff between the $43 and the $40 could be them factoring in the throw-ins in some fashion. Unless there are no throw-ins, in which case yeah it doesn't make sense.

Yah I agree but I shouldnt be anywhere near that. Ans the offer was explicitly for "3 complimentary room nights" plus free play and it showed offer available on those dates for that room (it's a resort ultra at PHo). I have gotten offers that say comp or reduced rate but this wasnt one of those. They would normally just show unavailable on these dates. Also I used the same offer on the same room during NAB and no problems there.

But in general, I agree I have seen that behavior before when the offer isnt explicitly complimentary room nights. They send a lot of offers that are just add-on RC and FP and they frequently charge when I have the same room comp in my standard calendar.

For some reason, as I try to book Caesars for June, no matter what I do Augustus Tower isn't coming up as an option.

I am low Diamond and only offered suites at lower end props, Linq, Flamingo, and PH. I am fine with just asking at check in what upgrades are available. I've ended up in some nice suites at Paris which is our home base. Sometimes free, sometimes paid. On the paid upgrades it just depends on the suite and price per night and if I think there is value there. We do like larger rooms after 20 years of regular Vegas visits. It does help that our stays are primarily Sun-Thurs. I don't bother to ask about upgrades on the rare weekend stay.

On a side note. We went to Harrahs So Cal late last year and just booked a regular tower room, but ended up in one of the nicest suites I've ever been in at check in without even asking. and this was a weekend. Host approached me on the casino floor during my visit and told me to call him next time. Apparently I could of done better suite wise.

Rincon (Harrahs SoCal) has a ton of suites in both towers, and if you are a decent player or regular it is fairly easy to get one of their balcony suites with large, shaded outdoor living areas—as an upfront comp or a free upgrade. On weekends they are full and they push people into those suites, they don’t sit empty.

I have always been offered suites at discount rates when staying comp there (15 trips past 3 years being my home base). I see and also hear that Harrah's SoCal has a higher concentration of 7stars and Diamond regulars which can make it difficult for upgrades. If they reopen for a rescheduled 5x Tier Credit Multiplier I will ask for an upgrade again and see.

Currently have April 11 booked for the 5x tier multiplier but doubt it will happen and if it does happen I will have to social distance and cancel the trip.

For all the Caesar's Suite's booking issues everyone is mentioning I have experienced the same issues in regards to rates and offer codes glitching
