I’ve been booking one ways recently for my travel. Got tickets for my February trip the other day. Going RT on any of my faves didn’t give me times I liked. Going OW with different airlines coming and going got me the sweet spot of good departure/arrival times and price.

I fly the budget lines to Vegas because it’s such a short flight. To the east coast I like Alaska and Jet Blue.

    United has never been great.

Omg Delta is so superior to American, especially in first class with the service. I almost always pay more for Delta because those are my only two choices. The only time I take American is when it's close to half price of Delta. If Delta is cheaper it should be a no brainers, at least in my experience which is also flying from Florida but not Tampa. I have to go through Atlanta on Delta, and charlotte or DFW on American. American has cancelled the flights I booked 100% of the time and put me on something with longer layovers, more airtime, and less convenient departure and arrival. Delta has never changed my flights by more than 5 minutes in either direction.

I can't believe you're seriously asking this.... Delta is the most premium mainstream airline available for North American travel. Bar none!

Avoid the Delta Amex. Not worth it -- you're better off with a Plat Amex and using the travel credit that way. Not only that, but the Plat Amex gives you lounge access and more benefits than the highest tier Delta Amex
