The $5,000 seems to pop up about every 18 months or so.

Pictures don't count. I've seen pictures of Unicorns. That doesn't make them real. Can you feel my bitterness only getting $2? lol

After today, I'm still zero for lifetime on MSS scratchers. :( Thank God i don't put in the volume there that @Joe does.

I keep forgetting to get scratch cards when I hit one. My wife never forgets.

If you are a deuces wild player on VP with max bet and get a 'natural 4 OAK', that works too to get a card. It takes some of the sting out of seeing those 4 aces only paying that 4/1 payout.

I got over 200 of the orange cards a couple weeks ago, every single one of them were $1.

Slot wins over $300 will award a card, as well as strait flush and royal flushes.

It's been said that orange cards are always $1 unless you're lucky enough to get a $5k card. Percentage wise that's huge for nickel players though versus quarter+ players.

My friends play the multi-line VP. Sometimes they'll get two or more 4oak on one hand. They get a scratcher for each one.
I've gotten a $5 before. I made sure everyone in the casino knew it too! lol

We are grinders when it comes to bartop VP at MSS. Sometimes 16 hr days with a meal break etc. I find waiting for a scratch card to be a nice break. I get to talk to the bartenders, watch a little sports and chat with the CWs.

Do players tip when an attendant at MSS brings a Scratch Card?

I would think it would depend on what you win on the scratch card.
I mean how much do you tip for a $2 win?

Under their new system, the handpay is handled by one person and it usually is the scratch card person. Yes then I tip them him/her and the bartender.
The old system required two people and I tipped both of them. I like the new system better.:D

I gave a friendly old attendant the three bucks from the last scratchers because I felt bad he had to keep coming back for our dream card multiline hits.
As documented recently, those machines can be a scratcher hoot.

If when I get the coveted 5$ scratcher I hand the attendant a 5$ bill. Figure good karma and not a lot of opportunity. Seems to work. Sometimes.
So I always say..give me the 5er so we can win!! And then BAM!!! A 2 or 3$ comes up.

Like mentioned earlier, dreamcard is absolutely INSANE for scratch cards. I tipped both of the ladies that kept giving them to me $5 each at the end of my session.

Since they allow it, the scratchers raises the game return about 2.04% for nickels or 1.02% for dimes.
