Two classics, two fantastically different pizzas.

    Happy Joe's (especially the taco)

Mario's. Wafer thin, you could eat a large by yourself as a high schooler and then go watch the Volleyball team trounce all comers.

I live outside all pizza delivery radii.

In town we have "Flying Pie," thin crust take-and-bake.
Pretty good if you like baking your own.

Pizza Hut Express in the next town. Not great.

Pizza Man and Cenex and Kwik Trip gas stations in the next city.
Pizza Man pretty good, but pricey.
Cenex hit and miss depending on the chef.
Kwik Trip thin and traditional both pretty good.
Village Pizzeria in that city (Amery) makes a very tasty pickles and pepperoni thin crust for me! :feedme:

If we're snowed in I pull a Tombstone, Jack's, or Orv's out of the freezer.

I live in a town of about 5,000 people give or take. We have 11 pizza places! And like 6 right outside of the town limits. A few are major chains, but I've always found that the locals do best.

Per capita, we have to be up there.

The common type of pizza is a medium style crust, thicker sauce, and almost all of them ground their sausage like ground beef. It covers the whole top layer.

Most of them have their good and bad days. All are good on their good days.

I don’t think the Giordano’s in Vegas is that great. Having said that, I’m a big fan of Gino’s East.

I guess I prefer NY Style Pizza. I'm a Thin Crust - Cheese Only - kinda Guy.
I've have Chicago Deep Dish Pizza and it's OK if you really want a Casserole!

I'd rather enjoy good food than get wrapped up in a silly and ultimately meaningless debate as to if it is whatever it is (some) people name it. Irish stew w/o lamb? Heresy. Bullshit, it's just a different kind of tasty stew with beef. "Mexican" food dredged in orange cheese? That's gringo chow. Still can taste mighty good.

Square, round; thin, normal, deep; sausage crumbled or pepperoni disked; tomato or white or green ... if it tastes good, just enjoy it. At the Pearly Gates no one is going to be denied entry for folding/not folding. Now being a Neanderthal in disavowing one over the other ...

Let the debate ensue. It wouldn't be VMB w/o these evergreen "affronts"!!!!

East coast transplant to the mid-west. Here in Eastern Iowa there is a ghastly concoction called taco pizza. Doughy often undercooked crust with typical taco ingredients like spiced meat, cheese, taco sauce and cheese finally topped off with crumbled Doritos. It might be a developed taste but I am thus far immune.

I prefer Chicago style, but I love a good thin slice as well.

Best I’ve had anywhere in Ohio: Wedgewood Pizza, which is a staple in Youngstown.

Best in Columbus: Benny’s in Marysville, Rotolo’s in Grandview, Shorty’s in Powell, Taranto’s in Lewis Center
