I always take pictures of my food in Vegas - eating is my favorite part! - my dad and grandma say similar things when they see all my food pics on Facebook.

So things have been super hectic since my last post. Now I have to play catch up and finish up my report!

Thursday night, we ate dinner at El Segundo Sol. It was really yummy and their prickly pear margaritas were on happy hour special, so of course, I had two. The first one didn't seem to phase me, but by the second one, I could barely stand up - and I'm no lightweight!

    Shrimp & sweet corn quesadilla

    Some sort of everything nachos!

    And steak fajitas...

I forgot to take a picture of the drinks!

Afterwards, went to Fremont Street so the couple who had never been could experience it for themselves. As we were ubering (BTW, I popped my uber cherry this trip - rode 3 times even though we had the rental), I noticed it was a full moon! Even better for the FSE!

The only way to describe Fremont Street is pictures, so here it is...

The music tonight was Green Day

I didn't know mounted police were still around!

I didn't do any gambling on Fremont Street. One of the couples had an early flight out for an unexpected death in the family, and the other was going to Red Rock Canyon to do some hiking before our flight, so we headed back to the Strip (in an Infiniti QX60) and called it a night.

The next morning, we got up and packed, even though we had a late check-out. We knew we wanted to venture the strip a bit and buy our kids a souvenir or two, so we wanted to be ready to go.

We decided on Le Village Buffet for breakfast again and used RCs to pay for it. Still good as always. My husband just loves that slab bacon.

Brandied Apple Crepe. Not bad, but not my favorite.

The au gratin potatoes and Sausage Frittata were really good, as was the Bavarian sausage. The regular sausage, on the other hand, was not good.

Banana Nutella Crepe - the only one my husband ever orders

After breakfast, we wandered over to Aria to redeem my Jean Phillippe pastry reward from myVegas and played some slots. Of course, I took some classic tourist photos along the way!

And my wins at Aria... I think I gave most of it back, however.

And the pastry counter, plus close ups of the two pastries we got. The round is what they called Snickers Cake and the bar was something like triple chocolate bar. The bar was delicious. The Snickers cake was so bad I took two bites and tossed it.

At this point, we decided to pack up the car and grab some In-N-Out for lunch. Tried Dean Martin location, but given it was 12:30, we couldn't even get into the parking lot. I wanted to wander The Linq Promenade anyways, so we decided to drive back over there and eat at that In-N-Out. There were 40 people ahead of us waiting on their orders!

Animal style, because I don't think there's any other way to eat it!

    Update: First flight delay notification

    More pictures from The Linq...

And a win at The Linq casino...

I stopped in the High Roller gift shop & got my daughter (10) a 5" high metal high roller that spins for her desk & we headed for the car.

Time to drop the rental car off and head to the airport. By this point, the flight has been delayed two more times. I'm beginning to think we might not make it out, but I kept an eye on Flight Aware & finally saw the plane was en route to Vegas.

I decided to give the airport machines $40, and won a little bit, but I gave it back as always. It's strictly entertainment for me, so I don't get too upset when I lose, but it's nice to see those wins!

    To sum up this trip...

We had a blast, but 6 nights is too long. I think 3 nights might be the magic number for us. Pillows at Paris suck. I ate. A LOT. I was reminded of that when I had to show up for my yearly physical Monday afternoon!

I came home with a little green left in my wallet and between reward flights, company meals, comped rooms, etc, we paid $498.86 out of pocket for food, resort fees and a couple souvenirs for a week long trip! Gambling wise, I'm pretty sure I made the CET gods happy, V/P is actually showing offers for discounted rooms, and MGM even got some love that should keep me in the good graces!

    Thanks everyone for following along!

I hope you leave the greens at home when you head to Vegas! Too much good food to be drinking smoothies!

I was so disappointed! I would have been angry if I had paid for it. My husband is still talking about his bar thing. I'll make him get the pastry reward for the next trip and we'll get two chocolate bar things!

I'm still trying to recover. I was feeling fatigued before we went, and I think that trip exacerbated the fatigue! We did a lot and we stayed up later than we usually do every night this trip. At the earliest, it was 11-12 when we got back to the room, and we're usually back and in bed by 10. We're not much for partying, and usually the day's bank roll is long gone, so we head to bed early so we can get an early start the next day.

So wait, were they real nuns? I know the catholic church has relaxed some rules, but I wasn't aware of anything like this. I may have to investigate catholicism again.

Fantastic report and pictures!! One of the best ones I have read recently. Thanks for the heads up on the Paris pillows, since I will be there in a little over 2 weeks. And I also go for the crepes with Nuttela, everytime time I have breakfast at the Le Village Buffet. The best part of that buffet, in my opinion are the crepes!!

LOVED this trip report. Rob and I usually go for a week in November and this year is no exception. We have to plan it with activity and down time, otherwise it does seem like too long. However, our three day trips are jam packed and we think them too short.
Glad you had fun and I'm so happy you took us along with you!!!!!
