Flusher, Roam should give you a refund and some compensation for the anguish they've put you through.

Phantom DJ, I'll check that. I've never understood why we use so much data. Maybe it's reading the newspapers.

Pretty simply, something changed on their service providers system and it broke their ability to activate plans. Then there was a huge backlog of plans to be activated - maybe they had to do them manually?...

Here's an update... I had a total of four plans. Two one-day plans, and two 13-day plans. They've issued a refund for the two one-day plans. They promised me a total of a refund of 19 days worth.

They are saying that they have issued a refund but it hasn't shown up on my credit card. The two small refunds did.

I did get an email that said my refund or store credit had been processed, but it doesn't say which. If they gave me store credit I am going to go ballistic.

    I also got this email:

    Dear Royal,

We'd love to hear what you think of our customer service. Please take a moment to answer one simple question by clicking either link below:

How would you rate the support you received?

When you go into your accounts can you usually see your store credits?

A satisfaction survey - that should be interesting?

Gotta love it when a company that is giving you huge hassles sends you a satisfaction survey. Why thank you very much, I believe I will. :wink2:

I am surprised that Canadian mobile providers don't have better roaming rates. On Verizon I can roam in Canada for $2 a day and have my normal plan usage

Pullius, Canadians pay some of the highest rates for phones and data in the world.
