The noisy neighbors weren't that bad last night. Didn't really hear anything.

However, right now as I am typing this they are being loud as hell. The problem is there is like a group of them spread out on this floor so they travel from room to room being loud and immature. I think I'll try to switch rooms today.

Woke up and took my various meds. Waited for the Percocet to kick in and headed down to the MGM Grand for their breakfast buffet. This was another MyVegas comp. I'm surprised I was allowed to redeem it, today was a special priced "brunch" for the holiday. They were charging $29.99. Once again, I'm glad it was free. It was good, but not $29.99 good.

After that I plopped down at the MGM Grand and played Pai Gow for about 2 hours. Had fun. Table was $10. They bumped it up to $25 when a few of us started playing. I was getting lots of straights and flushes. Everyone kept telling me I should play more than $1 on the Fortune bet. Note to humanity: get off my ass about the god damn Fortune sucker bet. I was hovering around even for a while and I decided I wouldn't cut back into my original buy in so I could leave even. Ended up lasting a while longer and eventually wanted to leave. Made like $25 profit or something. Had a lot of fun.

Now I'm back in my room. I'm feeling a trip to Freemont St today.

I'm right there with you on the Fortune bet. If I'm playing at a $25 table I can talk myself into $1 or $2 on the Fortune (especially if I'm up), but at $10-$15 tables I generally don't play it at all. In my experience the dealers are usually the ones badgering me about the Fortune bet (which I understand, I guess, but still...). Best of luck to you on the rest of your trip!

No. That was just to demonstrate how well I can hear them through the door. When they start screaming is when it gets loud and obnoxious.

I've never stayed at the Flamingo, but those walls sound paper thin. Of 7-8 places in Vegas I've stayed I've never been able to hear a neighbors conversation before like you can.

Enjoying your report! Thanks for keeping us updated! Hope the noisy neighbors problem gets resolved, so it doesn't dampen your trip! I

Question: any problems with the elevators? Alot of people have been complaining about them recently. Staying there again this summer, and curious if it's really that big of a problem.

Oh dear god the elevators are awful. Lol

You press your floor, the number lights up, then as it's going up sometimes the light randomly goes out and it misses your floor. And there is one that bounces up and down a lot.

Took the bus to Freemont St.

Played Pai Gow at The D. They have a Pai Gow Mania table. I had never played that version before. I skipped the first three card side bet and just did $1 on the one that is similar-ish to the fortune bet. Best hand I got was four jacks with an A-Q on top. Played for an hour or so and made $50. Drinks there were very watered down. I had a White Russian and it was like all milk.

Went and checked out the Downtown Grand. I had never been there before. It is definitely kind of depressing there. Played Pai Gow there as well. They have the Commission Free version where it pushes on a 9 high dealer low hand. I definitely prefer that to the Queen high lop version. Their Fortune paytable is crummy. It's already a sucker bet, why make it so much worse? Anyway, the session was rough. I kept getting crap hands. I lost my $50 winnings from The D and wanted to leave. But for some reason I kept playing. Eventually managed to build it back up to my initial buy in and left even. That was lucky cause it really was tough.

Took the bus back to the strip. It is so busy here this weekend. People everywhere. I come every year on Memorial Day weekend and it hasn't been this busy in a long time.

Was super hungry cause I hadn't eaten since the buffet early this morning. Decided to grab a quick burrito at Chipotle. Damn that hit the spot.

Not really sure what I'm gonna do tonight. Definitely some PGP, but I'm not sure where. And maybe a blackjack session as well. Haven't been to the Bellagio at all this trip yet.

Just had a nice PGP session at TI. Sat down at their commission free table and got two straight flushes almost back to back.

Heading down to the Bellagio for some BJ where I'll likely blow those winnings. Lol

So I never did get around to taking the time to go down and switch rooms. That's probably gonna come back and bite me in the ass as I'm trying to sleep tonight. They did have somebody bring me earplugs. Maybe those will help.

So after my Chipotle dinner I had what I like to describe as a Chipotle-coma: I laid down for a little rest and woke up two hours later in a puddle of sweat, confused about where I was and what time it was.

After I gathered myself I went to TI as I already described. Made $100.

Then I went to Bellagio. Played BJ for a bit little bit. The ploppies were out in full force. I can't play with dummies who don't know basic strategy without wanting to gouge their eyes out. So I left the table pretty quick. Even.

Went over to The Cromwell for some PGP. They had two $10 tables. There was one guy hopping from table to table who looked and dressed exactly like Cam from Modern Family. It was hilarious. Unfortunately his personality was very annoying. He was no Cam.

I ended up giving back my $100 winnings from TI at The Cromwell. The dealer was hot. Kept getting big hands. Oh well.

Now it's time for bed. Gonna give those earplugs a shot.

So those ear plugs they gave me worked wonders. I slept really well. I'm not gonna bother going through the hassle of switching rooms.

Today I woke up, waited for the pain meds to kick in, then went to Casino Royale for a ritualistic downing of two Cinnabons.

    So good.

Then I wandered down to the Bellagio. Played Pai Gow Poker for nearly two hours. Ended up losing my $100 buy in. The dealer was on fire. I had one straight flush and one four of a kind and I still lost the $100.

There was one young Asian guy who sat down in the middle of the session who was so rude. Blowing smoke in all of our faces. Constantly whipping out his cell phone. Angrily motioning the dealer to hurry up and collect his cards after the hand had been settled. He bought in for $900 and lost it all. Good. After he left I was like, "Wow. He was a d0uche." And the dealer said he was from China and didn't speak English and just randomly came to Vegas a few days ago without booking a room or anything and he expected to be comped one which was a problem cause it is Memorial Day weekend.

Anyway. After losing my $100 I left and headed back to the Flamingo.

Tallied up my money so far and I'm only down like $80 for the trip. Still have a lot of bankroll that I can blow these last two days (I won't, but it's nice knowing I won't be going to the ATM this trip).

Cool - nice to hear that TI has commission free tables. I need an excuse to visit that old dame! Love the report so far!

I play Paigow. The fortune bonus, while having has a huge house advantage, makes it way more fun for me. I know you don't want to hear it but 3 straight flushes and a 4 oak would have made me cringe if I were sitting next to you while you weren't playing it.

    Either way. Good luck

No it's the version where you push when they have a 9-high low hand after they set their cards.

Edit: it must be noted, TI's Fortune paytables suck.

I play $1 on it. Keeps people from cringing, for the most part.
