Been in Subway twice. Can't remember what I had, but both times it was the most pathetic sandwich I'd seen. If a sub shop had an anorexic sibling, it would be Subway!

Back when I weighed 150 on a 6 ft frame and ate anything I wanted, I used to go to a sub chain we had locally. They were great. I'd order the Torpedo, which was every meat, cheese and condiment they had. A six inch was good for meals, even for a young guy. Wish they were still around so I could drive by just to raise my BP a little bit!

We had a Jersey Mike's open here in town last week. Finally went last night. Place was packed. Sub was good, reminded me a lot of Cousin's Subs. But Jersey Mike's has WAY more meat, so that wins.

Subway is in a very distant third.

Mandalay Bay but only because I think it would be a nice tie-in to the Shark Reef. Theming is everything in Vegas.

You're onto something here, but you aren't seeing the big picture... Everything is called an "experience" now (and you can charge more for it!). Shark Reef EXPERIENCE. Bacchanal Buffet EXPERIENCE. Freemont Street EXEPRIENCE. Linq Hotel and EXPERIENCE.

So we add a Red Lobster (EXPERIENCE) next to the Shark Reef. You pay twice the price, but you get to catch your own lobster!

When I was a kid, I remember going into some seafood restaurants where they had lobster tanks upfront and you got to pick out the one you wanted for dinner. Come to think of it....maybe that was Red Lobster?

They had those all over. When I was in college I worked in a hotel that had a restaurant that had that. One night some drunk tried to steal a live lobster out of the tank. At the desk we always got the security reports from the day before and there was a big red "DO NOT SERVE - CALL SECURITY" and his name, as if he was gonna return to the scene of the crime. :)

I used to go to Subway all the time in high school, but that's because it was the closest place to campus. Of course, my friends and I went to the nearby pizza place every day; it got to the point where someone in administration needed one of us for something, and asked one of our teachers if she knew where we were, and she immediately responded, "It's lunchtime, they're at Frank's."

Of course, the best sandwiches in the world come from Salerno's, in Torrington, CT.

I mean, I really think at this point the only thing to do is for you to bake these and bring them with you in June and to be consumed in front of the Bellagio fountains. I think that beats a date at Red Lobster anytime. Bonus points if you feed them to me.
