As I'm getting a little stir-crazy from being stuck at home I figured I'd get a little game of "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" going! :p

There's gotta be others like me who have some sort of art, photos, memorabilia, etc. hanging in their house related to our favorite city... Las Vegas!

I'll start it off... here's a shot of my basement living area... 3 canvases live on the wall... the 2 outer ones measure 24"x36" and the centre one is 24"x72".

    Your turn! :D

No biters? Allllrighty then, I'll go again...

This is an oil painting I bought at a shop in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood many moons ago. Also hanging in my basement, the painting measures 8"x10"...

I'll take some pictures and post some later. I have about a dozen vases from Wynncore as I usually bring home the vases in which my flowers are placed that are in my room during my trip. They don't immediately say "Vegas" but I smile every time I look at them and/or use them. I also confess that I have a LOT of Wynncore toiletries, writing paper, pens and a couple of highball glasses from my Encore room. :ssst::ssst: Again, they don't say "Vegas" but they are a constant reminder of Vegas/Wynncore as I use those glasses pretty much every day when I have a cup/glass of milk. :)

Continuing with the basement living area... next we have a 2000 piece puzzle that I made with the help of my daughter... it took quite some time to complete but was definitely a fun build :)

This now sits on my coffee table...

This was my Sequester Project of the day.

Getting the lighting correct took longer than building the actual project.

And a night before a Qua Spa day.

Of course as soon as Las Vegas got their own NHL team I was an instant fan... knowing this, my daughter painted this mug for me at school a couple years back for Father's Day :)

This photo we had made into canvas and it hangs on our bedroom wall. First trip about ten years ago. We are both older and wider now. We laugh and say wtf? Sucks getting old.

My best friend since the 4th grade painted this Stardust marquee using the pointillism technique, thousands upon thousands of tiny dots of paint.

    9C92C8E3-6BF7-4FA8-9ECA-4BADB9100E0F.jpeg

The same friend mounted these pics, from my last trip, on thin metal plates. The mugs, and oodles of pens, are from all of my trips over the past 15 years or so.

And what man cave would be complete without one of these?

Awesome stuff @ardee @mjames1229 @Valgal and @MikeOPensacola! Looking forward to seeing your Wynncore stuff @Flowers :)

Next, here is a 4"x6" canvas painting done by yours truly :) Yes, it's a one-of-a-kind priceless masterpiece... even The Louvre has been after me to let them display it in their museum :rolleyes2:

Back into the downstairs living area hanging on a wall I proudly display a case containing various casino chips from pretty much every casino on the Strip and downtown. Unfortunately there is not enough room in the display to hold my entire collection, which includes many off-Strip casinos across the Vegas valley. The overflow chips are stored elsewhere.

My favorites? Well the ones from casinos that we no longer have with is such as Sahara (original), Riviera, Gold Spike, Las Vegas Club, Fitzgeralds, Imperial Palace, Hilton, and Lucky Dragon are cool.

Close to favorites are the ones that changed names recently like Bill's, Monte Carlo, Hooters, The Quad, etc.

The Circus Circus chip with the clown on it is one that I like also.

I am disappointed in myself for not getting a chip from some of the places that I was able to visit before they closed such as Boardwalk and the Stardust. I didn't start collecting chips until after they were gone unfortunately. But I did get players cards... I'll save those for another post :)

Next on the list is a large frame containing a small picture haha

For our New Years trip that had us saying bye-bye to 2018 and hello 2019 we decided to keep a cashout voucher from every casino we visited... the idea was to put them in a frame as a keepsake/memory of the trip. We weren't sure how we would display the vouchers but after some thought and planning I think it turned out pretty cool! One thing I find neat about it is that I put them all in order by date and time. So not only do we know all the places we visited, but we also know the dates and times... a timeline of the trip :)

I don't have it up on the wall yet, but it will be soon!

In case you're wondering... the vouchers come to a grand total of $6.34.

I have a 64 chip case (that is full) and I was about to buy another one for the rest of my chips. Good thing I counted, first, as I needed to buy the 117 chip case. It should be here this week.

Regarding old chips, you'd be suprised at how affordable the $1 chips are on eBay. I filled out my Vegas collection a year or so ago with the Stardust, Riviera and Desert Inn and I think the total (including shipping) was about $25.

I can only think of a few Reno casinos in which I have no chip... the Comstock, Flamingo Hilton and the Virginian. Good thing I have a few extra spots in my new case.

On October 20, 2016 I found myself face-to- face with the Baddest Man on the Planet... Iron Mike Tyson.

During my one and only solo Vegas trip I got myself a ticket to his 'Undisputed Truth' show at the Brad Garrett Comedy Club in MGM Grand. It was quite interesting listening to Mike talk about his life in boxing and hear some of the "behind the scenes" stuff from the man himself. After the show I got a chance to meet the Champ and have a photo taken. What an awesome experience! I also got myself a boxing glove signed by Mike using some of the winnings from a successful blackjack session I had just prior to the show.

Great memories and an awesome keepsake :)

I have made my master bathroom into my Vegas room. I add a photo and chip or two each trip.

I also have a large canvas in my bedroom!
