So, I have a four-nighter next month and have changed my three nights at Bellagio to three nights at V/P (Palazzo specifically).

Why? Because as much as I like Lady B, I have always wanted to try V/P - played, but never stayed. Also, I wanted something new. 26 years in, I have been known to change "homes" all over Vegas. Ultimately, I got those three nights for $69+ per night. I figure, this is a good time to try them out.

I want the skinny on V/P as a guest, not just passing through. Does anyone have pros/cons on V/P?

    Thanks!

    Pros:
*One of the three best spas on the Strip
*Lots of very good restaurant options at all expenditure levels
    *Clean and well maintained resort
    *Lots of interesting shopping
*Interesting public spaces throughout the resort

    Cons:
*The base rooms aren't true suites even though they are advertised as such
*The rooms at all levels are very staid. Even the high end suites I describe as having a grandparent's house vibe
*Elevator security can get backed up, and thus become annoying, at times
*The pools are pretty basic and underwhelming considering its a luxury resort

Its a great place to stay. i prefer the Palazzo side, but you really cannot go wrong

Of all the hotels I've stayed at in Vegas, Venetian is by far the best. Great restaurant selection, location is good (not like Resorts World where you're a million miles from everything). The Grand Canal Shops are, IMO, the best hotel shopping mall in Las Vegas.

Palazzo is by far my favorite hotel in Vegas. Everytime I try something new (RW/FB) I go running straight back to V/P.

I have never been charged for early check in (and usually check in around noon). Check in lines can be crazy long.
I love their key check at the elevators....key has to actually scan to get thru.
My rooms have always been super quiet.
    Fantastic restaurant selections.
    Casinos get very busy.
Ride share in Palazzo feels safe to me, even in early morning hours.

How is it navigating the hotel when you are staying at either one? My wife and I are big fans of the Mirage and have stayed there exclusively over the past 20 years. However, Hard Rock is not in the cards for us and we are looking for a new home. Love this part of the Strip and have contemplated V/P. We love the ease of navigation in the Mirage. You always know where you are and it's fairly open. How is V/P?

I love V/P the hotel, the standard room/suite is nice with the separate living room area…a bit dated but roomy…even better if you can get a Terrazzo Suite at check-in, it’s not available to book online & has a terrace/patio.
It’s their casino & player’s club I’ve been less than impressed with.
I primarily play VP & unless things have recently changed, their limited offerings of machines wasn’t something to keep me gambling.
I hate “fighting” to get a machine to play & that’s one reason why I stopped gambling there.
I know they’re revamping their player’s club but it still doesn’t interest me.

    Pros:
Great having two large resorts so close together on the one loyalty program
    Beautiful large suites as standard
Amazing Food options - including cheaper options
Walking around the Venetian Canals, shops ad St Mark's square
Good crews on the Craps tables

    Cons:
The drinks service on the casino floor is not great - not the amount of CWs but rather the size of the glassware - they're tiny and the liquor tastes really cheap
Venetian in particular can get extremely busy
    Video poker not good
Have never been impressed with the offers from Grazie (although they are changing it)

Crap crews are pretty good. Rooms nice.

I don’t like their slot selection.

I think most of the pros and cons mentioned here I agree with. I have only stayed at Palazzo, but I have to say that the Palazzo rooms have been the quietest room I have had in LV. No noise from either the hall or outside on the street.

To me Venetian can get extremely smoky when busy on the casino floor but Palazzo at the same time has not been. It easy to move from one to the other.

I agree. In my post when I said I preferred the Palazzo side, this is the main reason. I am not sure if its just a result of the layout of the Venetian side or if its actually getting more patrons, but the casino on that side feels overcrowded and chaotic at times. Palazzo can feel busy, but neve chaotic (other than the elevator key card check)

helps that Palazzo is just a giant open room, it feels more spacious

I agree with the general comments so far, just a couple other comments:

    - Palazzo is farther up the Strip, so if you're planning to walk down towards Caesars, Bellagio, etc. Venetian is closer
    - I echo the commentary that the Palazzo base rooms are better

Agree with above, not a fan of the gaming floor, there are so many walkways surrounding play areas and people wandering around.
Also have had some very tight feeling machines when I played there.
    Nice property and rooms.
Venetian room felt more dated and was put in some bad weird annex last time that required 2 elevators to reach...

Venezia Tower. I had my first stay at Venetian in October and our room was in that tower. At first I wasn't a fan of the double elevators and the extra walking, but we found a shortcut elevator that was right by our room and we got used to the walk; and the floor and room itself were super-quiet. We are thinking of requesting that tower again for our upcoming stay. I do love the size and layout of the rooms; even tho they are not true suites, there is plenty of space to spread out, and the large bathroom is a plus as well. I like the extra key card security checks.

Agree with the comments about restaurant selection and location on the strip. Also a good location for shows at the Sphere. Not a big fan of the ride-share area in the parking garage (Venetian; haven't used the Palazzo side). And the casino layout is a bit more chaotic than my preferred Park MGM. As to their rewards program, I am a very low roller, but my two visits in 2023 (my first year in the program) somehow moved me to their second tier, which will now carry over to the new program. I doubt I would have moved the needle at all with MGM with the same amount of play.

    Bouchon is simply fantastic.

Milos, Sugarcane, Cut, and Delmonico are also very, very good

I hope to try Wakuda soon and have heard very good things about it as well

Agreed & Bouchon Bakery has the best pastries, the croissant are perfect.
And if anyone ever has a chance to go to The French Laundry in CA, you must go…it’s one of the top ten meals I’ve ever had.

I honestly believe Venetian/Pallazzo is a beautiful property. I really liked it and didn't stay there often in the "old days" because I didn't care much for the Adelson's, though acknowledging he/they knew how to run a property very well. Now that they're not making the decisions anymore, I believe they're definitely in Las Vegas' top-tier (they always were). Nice-sized, well-maintained rooms, plenty of food options, great vibe in the gaming areas.

    Hope you have a BLAST!!!
