I guess it looks about right then. My play was 75%bacc and 25%bj. Was your stay 4 nights for around the same hours of play? I would like to do a side by side comparison just to see.

Btw, my play at the mgm was only about 3 hours. Was only walking around and walked into a good bac shoe in the mansion. All the players became friends and we moved table to table until we hit a real bad shoe. Not sure if those 3 hours killed me.

Do you think if i would have just played at bellagio, i wouldve gotten comped more? I always thought same player card, same money, same property family. So it shouldnt matter where i played. Guess im wrong?

Just re-read your post and now i understand. So basically the ec's will be for any play in the property family and primary comps will be where i am staying/comped.

Thnx for the info and now i know.

My stay was 3 nights, but that does not matter when looking just at ECs - that is pure math. All other things being equal, 10 hours in one day or 1 hour per day for ten days = same amount of ECs.

Ok now its all sinking in about primary comps and ec's. Thanx to you and shifter for clarifying. It all makes sense now.

But, for our level of play, shouldnt it constitute for more comps or is this the norm?

that's exactly opposite of what my host told me straight out. he said he gets absolutely 0 credit for play outside his property. however, on the same token, if a player staying at another property comes over and plays at his property, he gets that credit. so it works both ways.

but I'm pretty sure he was talking about credit for his monthly theo numbers, not comps. perhaps for comp purposes he can use some of that play to pick up charges.

I will double check with my host because I plan to play off site during my July trip, and would hate to unknowingly screw or myself or my host.

My understanding is that the host will not receive credit for play at other casinos in the group BUT play at those other casinos will earn just the same theo as play at the home casino.

So it's the host that is missing out, not the player. AFAIK that has always been the case.

Of course, the host would be happier if all the play was at the home casino and a happy host could mean a little more discretion when applying comps.

I was wrong (and Shifter was correct):

    From my host:

Morning Pal. I only get credit for play at MGM. But no worries. Play were you are most comfortable. With mlife you get credit for comps with play throughout the company

well, but you were still right in that your play at any Mlife casino will earn you comps that can be used by your MGM host against your charges. so it works out for you either way.

LOL. I was still wrong on that one - I said I would only get 50% credit towards comps at home casino.

...But in this case, I am glad I was wrong - it is better in reality than I thought.
