Sitting on my porch with a cigar and a glass of bourbon, I can read about the things I miss in Vegas and look for things to do on my next trip. It helps make the time between trips seem just a little shorter.

The wealth of knowledge on anything Vegas. We have people on here that can pretty much provide an answer to even the most unheard of questions.

I also really enjoy the board layout.

I dislike the way the TA boards are set up

We thoroughly enjoy Vegas and enjoy sharing our experiences and hearing about other experiences as well.
Problem is no one else we know goes to Vegas and no one in our families care to hear about our Vegas adventures.
As a result, it is great to be surrounded by others who share the same interests. :peace:

Exactly, there is so much information here you that you couldn't find on any other site.

Reading TRs is a great way to kill time and pretend like you're in Vegas.

One thing I don't like is how you can't really be a smartass here and if you do your post gets deleted. Oh well though, seems like everyone else enjoys that. I have my other boards I can visit if I need a dose of smartassness.

I guess I got lucky and never joined any other LV related message board. This is all I know, and the only other message board I'm on - the other is a a Gators website..

I like all the info and trip reports. Love the fact that I can be honest as hell here about my drinking, drugging, and gambling escapades and not fear snobbery or preachy attitudes.

Love the fact that we have all generations represented here as well.

    My favorite internet place..

    Thanks Sonya:beer:

I have a doctorate in smartassery so I enjoy it. Sarcasm and dry humor are great and so is some colorful language (yeah I am from Philly...we make an art outta that).

I love this board. Another reason? There is ALWAYS activity here.

    Thank you Sonya.

This board seems to be the great equalizer as it attracts folks from all walks of life from whales to small timer's (like me). From Twenty-somethings to seasoned citizens. International and domestic. Gourmets, gourmands, and fast food fans. Teetotalers and tipplers. Prudes and whoremongers. Old timers and newbies. Limo and cab riders and straphangers alike.

Information is shared freely among members because its likely that someone else has been there and done that. Moderation is fair and intended to keep replies snark free and on topic. Trip reports are fun to read and gives me ideas. The assembled wealth of knowledge evident in the replies to even the most arcane topics is simply amazing.

I have a good sense of humor and love smartassery, but you have to walk a fine line between being a smartass and taking away from the flow of things around here. I try to keep that balance.

Thanks for all the nice comments in this thread. What I love is that we have such a wide variety of people here willing to give their advice and opinions about Vegas. We've got high rollers and low rollers and they can be found in many of the same discussions. We've got hardcore gamblers and people who toss the occasional $20 into a slot machine to pass the time.

But seriously, it is the members that make the board. You guys post the info, the moderators and I just keep things rolling. Without you, I'd just be talking to myself and that is not a pretty sight. :haha:

I also love how so many of you like the layout and speed of the board as my ToDo list is full of new software and design choices. Uh oh! :ssst:

As others have already mentioned, I love the layout and the categories. Makes it easy to find info quickly. And if I can't find answers by doing a search, I ask. The members of this board have been so helpful.

My last 3 trips have been so much better because of the information I learned by obsessively checking this board on a regular basis. When I have a trip planned, I check the board multiple times a day and always find new useful information.

I also love the trip reports. Makes the time between trips more bearable.

    Thanks!

Hurray! :woohoo: This is exactly why I keep the lights on in this place. I hear time and time again that people have a better trip because of this board. That's what we're here for.

I don't want anyone paying rack rate for a Manor Room at Circus Circus like I did on my first trip. And after 14 yrs here, I'm still learning things on a weekly basis and am fully aware I have barely scratched the surface.

Something that sticks out is the longevity of this board and how much its original spirit remains intact. We continue to share a never-changing message to an ever-changing membership.
