    Hi Notfromconcentrate:

I visited Atlantis with family last year. I got a room as a Seven Stars, my wife obtained a second as a Diamond. Resort fee includes a maid gratuity so the resort fee can be heavy.

A huge benefit of the offer is complimentary access to the water park -- is is huge, beautiful and well maintained. If you buy a soft drink at the water park, you can have unlimited refills for your entire stay using the nearby soda dispensers.

We essentially did not gamble except for free play and a very little video poker and craps.

The food there is real expensive -- even groceries in the Bahamas are expensive. But there is a Quizmos as well as pizza place and BBQ joint on site that are not too expensive. I had put together photos and more information on our trip at this URL:

Good information. I quickly dismissed the idea of doing the meal plan after studying it and reading some reviews. Plus, for me, the timing of my trip falls during a period when not all of the restaurants are open anyway. Looks like they close some of them seasonally and randomly which limits the choices that you could have with the dining plan.

Regarding the airport shuttle...any specifics on that from your conversation? I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere on their website or anywhere else. I know there are plenty of taxi/tour companies that hang out at the airport, but haven't heard about one that Atlantis operates.
