I’m planning on an Atlantic City trip for this coming weekend. I’m planning on staying at Caesars. What are the current rules and if any regulars know what’s open at CET?

I was there last night. Gov Murphy hasn't changed any of the rules for NJ yet. The casinos are the same. Masks required. Plexiglass in place. I had a midnight-6am trip so all of the restaurants were closed as would be usual with or without covid.

Thanks for the update, I was hoping some stuff changed. BTW, are you going to be there this weekend? We could get together for a drink.

Governor Cuomo announced, literally minutes ago, that NYers who are fully vaccinated don't have to wear masks, following the CDC guidelines. I know NY and NJ were going to act in concert so I have a high level of confidence NJ Governor Murphy will make a similar announcement during his presser this afternoon, which means things would be different, in terms of masks at least, in AC this weekend.

It would be nice if they opened up all the restaurants and better hours and allowed more people in the lounges and back to the old hours.
It would be nice to sit at the bar and have Brian pour a drink.

If that's the one downstairs (on the same level as the table games) at Caesars behind the escalators, I'm also curious on this.

So Murphy is keeping the indoor mask requirement while New York drops theirs? That is pretty frustrating...

I’m going next Monday through Wednesday and I’ll be interested to see if the plexiglass situation changes at all. Supposedly the capacity restrictions are lifting this Wednesday (5/19) but it’s not clear to me if that means the plexiglass on table games will be coming down. Personally I care way, way more about that than the masks- I don’t care if I still have to wear a mask indoors but I absolutely hate the plexiglass on table games, especially craps.

Bar-side seating is supposedly finally back including VP bars so that will be nice either way.

I was there this morning. Masks and plexiglass still enforced. I was there Tue from midnight to 5am on Wed so just about everything was closed, including the Toga Bar.

Hopefully someone goes this weekend, after the Wednesday lifting of capacity restrictions, and can report on any possible plexiglass removal. I’m not expecting it per say but I’m crossing my fingers. Masks are gonna be around until the governor says otherwise, which seems like it’s still weeks away at minimum.

I used to love the Toga Bar! There were Sex and the City machines right near there and I went on a great tear on them one night. It was convenient to have the bar so close. Man, I miss AC. It’s been years.

O, agreed, your link has a list of all of the dining options for each casino.

If you open the link I posted, it brings you to this page below. There is a tab that only shows Caesars and Harrah's restaurants. No Tropicana. Not a big deal, but just another knock against Caesars for being asleep at the wheel for not updating the page to include Tropicana. Let's say you want to look for upscale dining and don't feel like scrolling through the offerings of each property. This drop down tab allows one to search only Caesars and Harrah's. You would never know about the Palm at Tropicana, nor their 2 lb. Lobsters.

One of these days they might fix it, but even when they’ve given target dates they’ve missed them.
