I don't as a rule. It cracks me up that the companies that provide the Point of Sales for Apple Pay automatically include a tip option, even for places that it makes no sense. For instance the place that I buy coffee beans, but they don't sell coffee to go. But I've made it a practice to not tip on take out with 2 exceptions. One is when I'm on vacation in Vegas and I do it for good luck. Yes I know that it doesn't bring me luck. But it helps with the gambling vibe mood. The other exception is when I am cycling and stop in a deli to eat. They have tables but no wait staff. The reason I do it is because I'm there all sweaty and messy and I want them to welcome cyclists.

Just went to Starbucks. Walked in. Got my drink. Paid for it with the app on my phone. Walked out. They give you 2 hours to tip.
