We will be taking a trip to the Gulf Coast for the youngest son’s Senior Year Spring Break. We’ve never been to Biloxi and have 3 nights comped at IP Biloxi so wanted to get some feedback about the resort and restaurants there. I’m guessing it will be busy so may not be able to get an upgraded room but going to try anyways. He’s asked about causing New Orleans so we’re going to take a day trip one day to venture out.

Any insight on gaming as well? I’m an avid craps player (about 95% of my gambling) so looking at what table minimums are in the local area and who has the game as well.

The IP had 2 craps tables open when I was there about a year ago. One was $5, the other was $10, with 20x odds I believe. It also had the A/T/S at the original good payouts, 35/175/35

I'm sorry about @jackatwell63 IP experience but the 2 times we have stayed there the rooms were very nice. We go to Biloxi quite often but stay at the Beau Rivage because we fly down on their junkets But I like the IP
@taaff is correct they usually have 2 tables open but there are 4 craps tables that might be open They have always had a $5 table but its usually busy They do have a/t/s and also crapless on the weekends.

@Hogman - Do any/all the casinos keep their table games open throughout the night? I may have to get in some overnight sessions since this visit will actually have part of the family with me.

The IP, as well as most of the casinos are 24/7. I stay mostly at the IP and the Beau Rivage, but have been to most casinos, all have tables open over night. One of their bars at the IP, Insomnia Bar, is a fun vp bar with progressive pots.

    I really like this place!

@tfcoach72 is correct they pretty much all keep one table open at night, the Beau, IP, Hard Rock for sure probably most if not all the casinos

This is a shocking post to me because I have never had anything but great rooms at the Biloxi IP. Perhaps jackatwell63 thought this thread was about the Las Vegas IP. I too have stayed in some shady rooms there in the past!

Anyway, in the last 20 years, I've stayed a lot at the Biloxi IP. Like I said, the rooms have always been top notch. They are big and always clean. I never ask for a particular view. Every direction is interesting to me.

The buffet is good too. It's not super fancy but the food is tasty. Good Cajun stuff as well as the standards.

The overall gambling conditions are just average. The craps are good because of the 20X odds and the ATS bet. The casino is not as nice looking as The Beau but it's nice enough.

I've been saying that now that the Biloxi casinos have sports books they are exactly like the Las Vegas casinos. You should be pleased with your stay.

Stayed at IP a while back and the room was nice. The craps IMO is best part of gambling there. Where we stayed there playing craps kinda late some guy with lots of high value chips said "I'll pay you $100 if you roll me a seven" it was on the come out roll I hit it He threw me a black.
As stated above all casinos are open all night and crap tables r too. You will be close to Scarlet Pearl, Boom Town ($3 craps) Beau ,Hard Rock and the Palace ($3craps) Have a good time.

Before I moved down here two years ago, the IP was one of three casinos in my regular rotation. (Hard Rock & Beau Rivage were the other two) I have always felt that their rooms were pretty comparable to the other two. (except the relatively new Platinum Hard Rock tower - that is my favorite on the entire coast) I think the IP still has the option of upgrading to a suite for $35 a night.
As a craps player, I think you will enjoy the IP. Their crews are friendly and efficient with low limits and plenty of players. I was over there two Sundays ago and the tables they had open were full. As others have said, their table games are open all night and day. Plenty of other table game options on the main floor. If you do VP, there are two VP bars on the main first floor. Insomnia is my favorite because it has progressive jackpots at all denominations. (Insomnia has .25, .50, $1, and $2 machine denominations) Torch is the other VP bar but it does not feature progressive jackpots. On the second floor (which is non-smoking), they have The Cove VP Bar. I enjoy The Cove because the wall behind the bar is glass and you have a nice view of the Back Bay. It is also quieter up there if you want to catch your breath in a relaxing atmosphere. They have jackpots for all 4 denominations but they are different from those at Insomnia. If I am going to be playing for any length of time, I usually check both places and chase the largest jackpot.

As for their restaurants - I love their high-end place "32" which gets it's name from being on the thirty second floor. It has such a romantic atmosphere and great views that I actually proposed to my wife there.
Highlights (their sports bar) is another favorite of mine. Great bar food and more TV's than you can count. In addition to the actual bar area, they have an attached theater style viewing room with a gigantic main screen and multiple flanking screens. If you want a little intimacy, the have booths with their own private TV that you can tune to any channel you like. Another positive is that the IP sports book is just steps away from Highlights.
I won't comment on the buffet because I haven't eaten there in over two years but prior to that it was pretty good in my opinion. Not the best on the coast but was definitely in the top 4/5.
There are a couple more restaurants that have opened there but I haven't had a chance to try them yet. Perhaps someone else can talk about them.
One other thing, their nightclub "Chill" has been voted best casino nightclub several times in the local "People's Choice awards. It isn't real huge but they have good music and a lively atmosphere.

Obviously, I like the IP and I think you probably will too.

I was just at IP Biloxi for New Year's. I have stayed there many times over the years and love the casino. BUT, last trip I asked for a non-pet room and floor. I was told all rooms are pet friendly now (meaning the previous guest might have had a dog sleeping in the room.) The counter guy said this was the new policy. Sure enough the room next to me had a barking dog. Next trip I am staying elsewhere.

We have pets and will not be bringing them with us, so this is not a dealbreaker to me. Appreciate the feedback.

This is just my .02 cents from September trip. Flew in for 4 nights comped suite. 200 a day in food and 300 FP (150.00 week but caught back to backs) were are both Emerald level. In the last 2 years we took 9 trips to Biloxi from Florida. Flights are rather cheap however the gambol has been awful.. we’ve lost as much at the IP in four days as a week in Vegas. We do gambol long hours but I went 3 days without a 4oak.. long story short had a FP offer at the Beau and popped in. We were holding our own getting some decent hits here and there. After about 9 hours we headed back with 200 extra . Now that didn’t make up for the first few nights at the IP but it was nice not having to cycle Benny’s into the machine every 20 minutes.

Now here’s why we’re ditching Boyd, we got offers for the next three months so far for 900.00 each in FP ($450.00) first half and 450.00 second half along with free round trip flight , hotel etc. the point is we only gave them 1/100th of the loyalty we’ve given Boyd over 20 years. I will miss our host Anna she’s been great and totally understands. The new changes have frustrated her.

    My IP .02 cents

Hope it’s a winning trip for you!
As a table game player, Boyd has been very good to me so I don’t have any reason to ditch them. I understand the frustration many people have but I’m getting comped nights almost anytime so I’m going to keep giving them play.

Semi-same, but I'm probably riding on the coattails of my slot playing partner,
I just discovered I can double book second guest rooms fully comped during our offer trip. (two trips reserved so far). I dig it.

following, cuz just got emerald and the IP offer,

    all this info is appreciated,

we prob won't be able to get that far in the near future, but always planning ahead...

We were wondering if it was an Imperial Palace license/clone/knockoff or does it stand for something else?

Nothing wrong with taking what they give you. Part of the reason why we are making some travels to places we normally don’t go.

As far as IP, I assume it was shortened from Imperial Palace. I did some reading and looks like the property had changed hands a few times and was originally called Imperial Palace and when Boyd purchased it, they renamed it to IP.
