Yes, you must itemize to deduct losses. It can help you get there though depending on your standard deduction.

Just spent the last four hours or so playing poker at Flamingo. One of those weird nights where poor play paid off way too often. People calling big re-raises with junk is what you usually want, but tonight those 20% hands all ended up winning.

Went to the pool for a while this morning then played a couple HL slots at Harrah's , winning a whopping $5. With that I bought a foot long at Casino Royale for lunch. Wish I could upload the link for the "Real men of genius" commercial for the foot long hot dog inventor, but YouTube doesn't want to give me the proper link. "Wait! I can give you two more inches!"

Walking Dead at Casino Royale sucked me in. Put in $100 and it was down to $9 when I hit the bonus for about $140. Still have not hit that monster bonus yet but walked away up $50. Went to Harrah's and won a nice $250 pot at poker when I flopped a set of 6's. Plus I get to play with my buddy Cliff, who I always seem to run into when I am here. He is super fun to play with.

Ok, this is more like the norm on a $100 buy-in. Poker doesn't build your tier score, but it builds the bankroll.

So the epitome of running bad. I make a raise to $10 with AK suited and the guy next to me goes all in for $260 and has been playing junk all day. I call and he flips over 9-8. Of course a 9 hits in the flop, the whole table goes WTF on the guy and I walk away ahead $7 instead of over $600. I wish I could beat stupid.

You are a long term winner, right? Don't sweat one fish. He will give it all back. 2 out of 3 times you win that. He just happened to get his there.

Correct. I was steamed pretty good, that's exactly who I want my money in against. Best decision at the time was to walk away. But now I am more determined to roll dice with you in December. :drunk:

That would be the best decision you have made...

A friend from home texted me asking where he should venture while in Vegas in a business trip--he had just checked into MGM. Neither of us knew the other would be in Vegas so I hoofed it down to NYNY and we had some fish and chips and Harp at Nine Fine Irishmen.

Went to PHo after that and hit this, too bad it was nickels.

Then it was time for bubble craps. I wish you didn't have to bet a million bucks to get any tier credits, but had a nice profit on a $100 entry.

And then...the keytar!!! OF COURSE he was rocking out to "Don't Stop Believing."

Walked in the Paris and now am listening to 50 talk about walking around with a limp (he's aight).

Played Batman at Cromwell (the only thing I can win at there) and played about an hour betting max and ended up ahead about $30. Played some WoF to end the night and was able to ring up just over 100 TC and won about $50 there as well. Had one nightcap at TAG which cost me $20 in play. Time to crash, may get a couple hours of play in before the flight leaves for MSP tomorrow.

Probably my last relevant hit before heading home. Rocking an old school bottle of Orange Crush while checking out Lynda Carter's plunging cleavage.
