Before you get to the guest elevators you are greeted by security, when then asks for your floor and then calls the elevator and tells you which one to get in. Same system in more modern office buildings. No touching of buttons, as there are inside the elevators, required.

    You're something else.

I love the $58,000 thing, but I adore the photography just as much.

@Flowers you out did yourself this trip in both HP and reporting. It was great to see a 1st hand review of Sparrow and Wolf. We were very interested in it once we saw it on PBS but now with your comments it will be on our next trip out. We always try 1 new place each trip out but this trip it will be easy to pick the "new" place for us. Enjoy your last day!!

I think I'm speaking for many when I say I love the way you Vegas,
really love the move of getting out of town and into nature for a minute,
recharge those batteries for the final push, as well as having final non gambling plans.

It would be cliche to post "the gambler" song,

(just a suggestion, the front of HL had a wild assortment of carny (?) vp, that some screen shots of paytables may tickle @tringlomane s funny bone..)
I'm in no way saying you should play them, without his go ahead, but they looked like new to me goofy fun.

    also,

I thought you were nuts thinking the snow melted off Mt Charleston because of my experiences there in 2019, but from your pictures it looks like there was a lot less snow than when I visited in April a couple years ago. Roads were lined with snow banks just above the national park and plane crash memorial, and just down from the lodge, I stood in about 2 feet of snow on the ground which was hilarious to me, going to the desert to play in the snow lol. There was even snow there when I went in June 2019 and it was 112-115 degrees on the strip, but it was above where the highest roads go. Looks like you got great weather and I'm glad you mentioned the high road, because I've never taken it in spite of having driven there twice, had time constraints both times, but next time I get me one of those fancy high speed rental cars I love, I want to check out that route, and the lake mead route to Hoover dam.

I remember going in early May. Its was 80+ on the strip and there was still plenty of snow around the lodge - amazing!

Apologies that has been almost 24 hours since I last posted. It has been a full 24 hours, pretty much all good.

I am sitting at Wazuzu right now having a wonderful late lunch.

    20210109_162653.jpg 20210109_162656.jpg 20210109_162659.jpg 20210109_162414.jpg 20210109_161147.jpg

On my last full day I of course I had the have the Le Fleur (aka flowers) cocktail. I'm about to have their wonderful jasmine tea. Normally I would take it to go but I need to sit here and decompress.

I am fine but a bit emotional right now. It's been an extraordinary trip with a lot of ups and downs and having spent most of my career in government I have been pained while here enjoying life seeing what has transpired in the past week. But I am also so grateful for how resilient we are as a people and country. Hope it is okay @Sonya to say that.

And that brings me to an extraordinary act of honesty and kindness by a complete stranger that transpired just a few minutes ago, which is the main reason why I am taking a deep breath and not taking this wonderful jasmine tea to go but instead enjoying it in its wonderful cup as one should do.

So, lots to report on from the past 24 hours, but to what just recently happened, I was playing in Encore after having spent most of my comp dollars in the Encore spa shop. Will show pictures later but I got some fantastic finds (sale in the spa shop!!!) plus I ordered a number of expensive skin products that I have purchased here or at Blue Mercury in the past. Today though they were "free" with my comp dollars. :)

    20210109_165446.jpg

It's been a losing last 24 hours so I decided to play more modestly today.

A few minutes in, after having put about $400 in the UX machine, I got 3 to a royal. I hesitated as I had been dealt 2 jacks but I did as proper strategy dictates and dropped the off suited jack, held the three to a royal and a royal popped up. No multiplier but that 1k feels more like 5k now.

    20210109_155023.jpg

Not 5 minutes later -- not even ten hands later -- another three to a royal pops up and I didn't think much of it but I hold the three and yep, another royal pops up, but this time with a 4x multiplier for 4k. I can't believe it.
    20210109_155442.jpg 20210109_155508.jpg

At this point it is 4 pm and I have a 4 pm reservation for Wazuzu. After the handpay and playing down to $1020, I cash out the ticket and go looking for an employee in the red card booth who is always so wonderful. I had an envelope with a small New Years thank you gift that I wanted to give him. He had just left for the day but will be back in the morning so I will try and see him before I leave for my flight.

I go to turn the ticket in at the ATM/change machine and then proceed to Wazuzu. I order but then I realized I need to run to the Red Card booth on the Wynn side to get my drawing tickets for the 6 pm VIP drawing.

    20210109_150522.jpg

I jog over there and then jog back to Wazuzu just as my food is arriving and then walking into the restuarant is the slot/security attendant who paid me the 4k and whom I know well. He is one of my favorite people at Wynn. He walks toward my table looking at me like "what have you done?" but with his lovely smile and then I realize that AFTER I PUT THE TICKET INTO THE CHANGE MACHINE I WALKED AWAY AND LEFT $1020 STICKING IN THE SLOT WHERE YOU PULL OUT THE CASH.

No, I have not been drinking or anything but literally put the ticket in, some how got distracted and walked away. He had in his hand 10 $100 bills and one twenty.

I won't go into the details of our conversation but of course I was grateful and showed my appreciation. Cameras are everywhere and Encore is quiet so they were able to figure it out and also see that I was in Wazuzu.

But, are you ready for this??? A COMPLETE STRANGER SEES THE MONEY IN THE CASH SLOT AND TURNS IT IN TO SECURITY.

    There are no words.

I asked the employee if he wouldn't mind finding the fellow customer, he did, I met him, thanked him appropriately with a bill but almost started to cry and it wasn't about the money but how kind he was. I told him MAJOR KARMA is coming his way this year and he said he wife basically said the same thing. ❤❤❤

Whew. I am still processing this.

Back soon with lots of photos of my room at Circa -- Derek Stevens outdid himself -- WOW, Stadium Swim, Barry's, etc.

I now need to go deposit my tickets for the drawing. I have just five and I am sure there are players that have HUNDREDS but it just takes one ticket.

Congrats on the royals! But the even bigger story... I just love hearing that there are GOOD people in the world! And yes! Good karma will find him.

    Love that! Thanks for sharing!

Enjoy that cup of tea and your final night in Vegas!

Nice Royal draws! But dropping a pair of Jacks for 3 to a Royal isn't proper strategy in 9/5 DDB or 9/5 TDB, and definitely not at UX. High pair is a guaranteed 2X next hand.

And I'm glad to see there are good people in the world. Some definitely would have took the money.

The last time I left a ticket in a machine, and remembered 45 minutes later...:drunk::nono: Someone (probably an employee, it was after 3 am) turned in the ticket and I got paid after claiming it.

The older I get, the more I believe in karma, even it’s just small things like not getting upset at someone over something small or trivial. Even if it’s just tipping a little more to the waiter or driver or whoever who is still working but struggling right now. I really like to think you can get rewarded for being decent so I hope that guy DOES have ‘major karma’ coming his way. And oh yeah, this is one awesome TR!!
