With so much uncertainty regarding poker rooms re-opening (When, how, tournaments?) I was thinking of going in August (still doing some slots and the pool) and playing online through Caesars WSOP.

Has anyone played poker online while in Vegas?

How was the quality of play / overall experience?

I've never played online since poker was banned in the US, but did a fair bit online when I spent the whole series there in 2008.

    Those were the days :D

Where would you be playing? I don't get the point of the trip to be on your computer playing online poker. (And I am a poker junkie...)

What has emerged of the online poker scene, especially in the states, is highly regulated and this should be the least of the worries when it comes to playing poker.

lol - I dont think it is possible to play poker online really now? I would like to see it come back though...that was fun if you do it with a group, I thought....I was thinking of visiting Canada and getting in with the locals there to get set up on a really cool account that we cant access here?

WSOP is running online at this very minute, but you can only play if you're in New Jersey or Nevada.

I can name a half of a dozen poker sites that i play on here in NC and have easily cashed from. Online poker really never went anywhere it is just a little less publicized.

I play online here in Vegas all the time, the website/software is horrible but it gets the job done and has a decent amount of players so theres always a wide selection of games/stakes. You can withdrawal by picking up your money at the cage which is one of the main reasons i play there, probably done close to a dozen cashouts all at the cage and usually takes less than 24 hours til you can pick up.

You can also link your TR card to your online account and rack up the tiers, the main reason i play on there.

So I'm in Vegas right now and trying to sign up to play some of the online WSOP events. Even though my location settings are open for it I continue to get the turn location settings on. Any idea what the issue is or anyone had similar issues?

This is an issue on your device/computer. Without knowing which type of device / operating system you're using, in general there are 2 settings that need to be enabled - one to enable location for the device itself, then one more for the app (WSOP) itself as well.

Living in NJ I’ve been on WSOP.com for a few years. I only play low stakes and smaller tournaments. Since the pandemic has hit the number of people online has exploded.

Here in Pa.we only have Poker Stars now. The other sites are coming.
I had issues with the location sensing on my laptop although all the settings were set right.
It turned out my IT company has remote access and that prevents them from confirming your location.

It was weird. I had to sign off of a WIFI connection and then back on. Once signed on I walk up and down the strip without WIFI playing a tournament. But the initial sign on had to be using WIFI.

It has to do with the geolocation. You generally can't even sign on with WiFi only.

As an aside, the main company that provides geolocation services (GeoComply) has a master map showing all login attempts in every jurisdiction. It's pretty cool.
