    My Trip Report

It's finally time for the long-promised "when you turn 21, I'll take you and a friend to Vegas" trip. Yes, K has now already been twice (thrice if you count having a long layover in LAS, but that was before they turned 21 so they could only gaze longingly at the clanging slot machines). Friend R is now 21, so it's time to do what was promised.

We have a few days at NYNY. I'm leaving from SEA this morning; R leaves from SEA this afternoon, and K leaves from ATL ... later. K is actually getting in pretty late tonight, so it'll be up to me to entertain R in the afternoon. I'm thinking Bellagio Conservatory, maybe.

Plans that are booked include cocktails at SkyFall, Mad Apple stage-side seats at NYNY, International Smoke for a dinner. Aiming to do Neon Museum and maybe Omega Mart at Area 15 (neither of which I have done). Those are not yet booked, so we'll see. Maybe also Ellis Island for the low table mins and atmosphere. TI for stadium craps. Hoping for some early Lunar New Year displays too.

Needed to refresh the bankroll, something I haven't had to do for a while. That December trip was brutal. Yeesh. Hoping for better luck this trip!

AT this point, I'm honestly more stressed than excited about this trip, but I think once I'm there it'll be fine. There's some pressure bringing someone who hasn't been before....

Awww, it will be a fun trip, Julia:). Especially with your calm vibes. It will sort out. You will meet wonderful peeps and everyone will have fun.

I’m still bummed you couldn’t make it earlier this year, but hopefully I will see you again. Either Vegas or Seattle or somewhere:)

    Good luck!!!

Have a good time and best of luck! Should be exciting with 2 first-timers (sorta).

I'm interested to hear how the side stage seating for Mad Apple is. I've seen the show twice and have wondered what the experience is like in those seats. I think Omega Mart would be a great activity with them especially if they like a weird puzzle / escape room type activity. We really enjoyed it when we did it September.

I’m at my gate! This trip, since the Sweetie would need our gas car I asked him to drive me to the airport. Flight boards at 9:10, leaves at 9:50am. Need to get Kidlet to school between 8-8:15am. Drive time to airport is between 25-60 minutes depending on traffic. Thanks to light traffic and TSAPRE, I’m at my gate, with a Starbucks, before boarding time. Yay! Flying Delta so I had no worries about flight cancellations due to the MAX issues AS and United are having.

Feel free to toss out any tips or things I might have forgotten/become jaded about!

Just heard from K—not yet packed!

    Sounds like a great trip.
We really enjoyed Mad Apple when we saw it in the Fall. A good mix of comedy and Cirque.

As a heads up: at our show a Dad and his newly 21 yo son got lots of “attention” from the Comedian/Host of the show. Dad and son took it in stride and it was all pretty funny. But if someone is super sensitive; they should be prepared

FYI: they were seated 3rd row centre. Not sure is stage-side seating is better or worse for being roped into the show,

Lol. Sounds suspiciously like my youngest. Sometimes I’m happier not being around to watch the late prep.

IMG_0978.jpeg SweetWater 420 to start the trip. I remembered why I like Delta. Movies and Atlanta beer. “Joy Ride” is ridiculous and funny but pretty raunchy. Glad no kids in my row!

And the Park pool is closed too! I’m so bummed! But Park had craps at $10, and I just had a killer roll! Won several times on the pass line, then hit my points almost immediately. In for $300, out for….

    So now it’s gelato time!

oh, and found a dime. Tails but I’m not superstitious!

That’s odd the park pool is closed. Aria pool was open when I walked by. Maybe try there?

Glad you are up in gambling and doing well:)

And gelato—mmmm. I finally got to try it cuz of your posts last time lol
