They ditched a lot of their defense from last year, which needed to happen. But I do not yet think their replacements are much better.

I'm falling for the hype that Jackson is a one man show tonight cause that's all that is left of the Ravens.
Trying not to bet LVG doubt I am that strong.

On the Raiders +4.5 as well tonight as well as +10 in the 2nd leg of a teaser with the Cardinals. Love them tonight as Baltimore lost some key players in the offseason and has lost more recently to injury. On top of that they're already not focused on tonight's game as they have their biggest game of the year in six days against the Chiefs who they've lost to each of the last 3 years

I agree (somewhat as I’m in a state which doesn’t allow gambling of any kind…(bingo?…lottery?..yeah) .legally but you can damn sure get lines on high school football!!)

So I tease Raiders and the over …. Seems like a minimal loss…..if I could bet. I’ll just watch. :headbang:

I don't think focus will be an issue. But injuries/depth might be. Ravens have a much better defense, even with the current injuries. So I think baltimore will score some points. But even with the better defense, the Raiders offense was inconsistent last year. They might score 10. They might score 30. Who knows! If the line moves to three before kickoff, I might add a bet on the Ravens and try for a middle

Line just moved to 3. So the attempt at a middle is on!

yuck, I don't like hearing all the Raiders hype up above. I have Baltimore tonight in one of my guillotine / survivor leagues. I usually try to start out not picking all the locks so I can have some good teams left later in the season. nothing like getting to week 14/15 and only being able to choose between weak teams with bad match ups. So, I pick some close games to start the season. this strategy has worked pretty well for me in past years. A good portion of our league (104 players!) lost already this weekend on Buff, Jac, Minn, GB, and a couple other games such as Tenn. no such thing as a lock in week 1, lol.
cross my fingers for Baltimore by 3 so you guys cover as well.
    104 players, $50 entry, pays 1-2-3rd

my other 2 survivor leagues I had Carolina, as there really aren't too many times during the season that you would feel comfortable picking Carolina, so I got one of the bad teams off the list early

    As expected I'm weak
Could have Raiders +3.5 -110 which was still a decent bet.
    Nope, went straight moneyline +148

Right now, I'm very happy I added a Baltimore bet. A loss of vig will be a whole lot better than losing my entire wager on the Raiders. At least the Raiders are finally threatening to score. A four point loss is perfect for me!

From now on if I see Las Vegas getting points at home I will consider them as a Super Contest play.
    Why?
    Last night is one reason.
But last season if the team was a underdog, a majority of the time they did cover.
They were not good as a favorite in the new stadium.

I basically shot myself in the foot this week. if I had not cashed out of my original Saints bet and not tried for the middle last night, I would have ended the week in the black. instead, two last second FGs in regulation cost me. Arghhh! Still, trying for the middle was more fun last night. Plus, my Jacobs under 1000 yards bet is one of my larger props on the season and he stunk up the joint. so at least I had that to cheer for

Seriously. During the final 30 minutes of that game I found emotions I didn't know I had.

Raiders plus 3.5 got me back to even for the week. Not gonna bet on them anymore though, really don't wanna root for Gruden.
