Just finished watching 'Godfather of Harlem' with Forest Whitaker as Bumpy Johnson.

Got through the whole season in a few days, and looking forward to a season 2, hopefully.

The Netflix Original Series; DRACULA 2020 - I watched the first episode last night!
Visually it looks like a classic movie but it's a new series. Watch it if you dare!

We've dropped Netflix and Hulu. My son got us this streaming service that has a lot of crap on it. We watched Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Wasted 2 hours and 41 minutes of my life. The only benefit was watching Brad Pitt. And the ending? I wasn't aware that it was a fairy tale ending of how we wished things would have ended that night.

Started Peaky Blinders. I like it. You need captions.

So true on the captions. I often have to go back four or five times to try and make out what was said. And sometimes I STILL have to give up and move on!

Excellent show. My sister had to tell me Madeline is played by Jane Seymour. I never would have known. Cameos by many stars in their own right.

    Me too! And Ann Margaret!

Later on, Better Call Saul has a role! Soooooooo, well done. There’s a scene involving one of the principals with Prostrate problems- enlarged.

(Segue: Just like moi. So now, I trot out the line, when the subject comes up with women: “ Ya know... big hands, big feet, big Prostate, big you know what!” )

So, he’s in the bar bathroom and a couple of millennials come in, pissing like racehorses, natch. All manner of great lines ensue and it’s one of those things- the kids don’t know WTF he’s talking about, because they haven’t got there yet!

Multiple serious subjects of aging, tackled with extreme humour. Love it!

Yes, I see a lot of myself in there.

I forgot about Ann Margaret. Still a fine looking lady!

Yes, she's not what she was long ago but she's still beautiful for her age. Years ago I thought she was the hottest babe ever. I remember the first time I saw her she was in a James Bond movie. There was scene that I watched from my window at work in downtown Manhattan where they shot a scene on the FDR Drive.
    I loved the Kaminsky Method.

I watched 'The Crown', Season 3. I liked the actress that played the Queen in this season better than the one that played in the first two seasons, but I liked the actor that played Prince Philip in this season less than the one in the first two seasons. Not impeccable historical accuracy, but well made and fun.

Still not on Amazon, but the feature-length film is available on (free) Youtube
    Here's a link/embed:

Edit-to-add: Of course, I made the "mistake" of watching the first few minutes...which meant watching the entire film.
Some of the acting is a bit cheesy, but for it's time, still a very good film.... and a great story.
