I just watched it last night. Pretty good docudramedy. I wonder why they never mentioned about Tommy Lee's child drowning in his swimming pool? Most of the music was pretty darn good. How did they not kill themselves with drugs and booze? Wild times and it appears they sure had a lot of fun.

The scene with Ozzy Osbourne at the swimming pool is priceless.

And no mention of Pamela Anderson either...

It was a friend of Tommy Lee's son that drowned.

    2003
    SANTA MONICA, California --
A jury cleared rock star Tommy Lee of all responsibility in the drowning of a young boy
in his swimming pool Thursday and awarded no money to the boy's parents, who had requested $10 million.

On Hulu watching CSI the original from the beginning. They are the only ones that carry it. I didn’t watch the first several years. I can see how it evolved. Lot of over/corny acting the first year. On season 2 now.

Well, I see that the 'Death Wish' remake with Bruce Willis is now on Netflix... so I think that's next in line... unless I get a 'House of Cards' final season-type warning not to!

I binged After Life and had to wring myself out afterward. Was worth it.
I love his German Shepherd so much. She was his saving grace in so many ways.
Gonna need to watch it again as I was in my own head, trying to tell him to stop being so self-destructive during so many scenes.
Need to let that go and see it with new eyes.

Another thing from The Dirt. GOT fans will remember Iwan Rheon, who played Mick Mars, as the rotten, evil Ramsay Bolton.

Podcaster I listen to noted that it's not a documentary, it's a movie based upon a book, and noted that they have to leave things out, gloss over other things, in order to share the parts they most want to share in the film.

That doesn't answer your question, Breeze, but my guess is that the death wasn't considered a substantial moment in the band's history, or necessary to include in the movie. I've never read the book, and haven't watched the Netflix version, so I can't speak to why Pam should or shouldn't be included in the film, but I wonder if likeness rights has something to do with it.

I'm no expert, but I do recall reading somewhat recently that some members of The Runaways weren't included in the film about the band from some years ago because they wouldn't sign over their rights... I don't get how that works. A comic book publisher in the 1990s fought for his first amendment rights to depict rock stars in his docu-comics, even w/o the permission of the band. That's a can of worms not worth opening here.

But here's the Wiki citation about Jackie Fox and the Runaways movie: Fox denied permission for her name to be used in the 2010 feature film The Runaways. Instead, the producers created a fictional character, Robin (portrayed by actress Alia Shawkat), as the band's bassist in the film.[3]

As for what I'm watching on Netflix this month: The painful final season of House of Cards. I get it, they didn't plan on producing a final season without Kevin Spacey, but OMG is this final season an even bigger mess than the rest of the series. I've often thought the story twists were a bit nonsensical, but that spirit governs the final season's storytelling in just about every scene. I thought the show was a complex, grand endeavor when it was launched. Now it seems to be a farce.

I'm also watching the last half of season 5 of Arrested Development. That show has really turned out to be a disappointment as well. Something is better than nothing, but damn, they really lost the magic of the show during its FOX era. Such a shame it wasn't picked up immediately after FOX shitcanned it.
