MGM Rewards Birthday Freeplay?

Does anyone know if they are still doing birthday free play. Last year I got an email on 4/12 with my birthday free play offer for my June birthday. But so far, nada.

But...I also already have a stay booked in June, and last year I didn't. Didn't know if they only sent you this to motivate you if you didn't already have a stay booked.

Has anyone seen anything on bonus free play this year if you're stay is on a Monday-Thursday I think it was?

I didn't get an email about any mid-week bonus prior to my two MGM stays a few weeks ago. And I forgot to ask. My reservations were made several months prior.

I got birthday freeplay when I was there last October. I had made the reservation in April and I got the email about the birthday FP in August.

 

Thanks Chuck. Kind of disappointed in the birthday free play. That was part of the decision to go in June vs. May. But it could still show up.

Maybe before the end of this month, I'll give them a call to see if my April offer has Bonus free play attached to it.

No prob. I don't think I've seen anybody mention either type of bonus this year except vaguely that maybe someone said they were told by players desk staff that mid-week wasn't a thing anymore.

 

It does not exist anymore, unless they brought it back in the last 4 weeks.

 

Right, my Husband asked when we were at Aria in March and was told it was discontinued.

 

Correct, both are discontinued at this time. I was told this by both a host and vip services.

 

I got it in February so I must have been one of the last.

 

Was looking forward to receiving it for the first time in May. Hope they change their mind and bring it back.

 

Need a few months of decreased profits like march was. Greedy SOBs are seeing how much they can take away before people stop coming. Decreased profits equals increased offers.

 

Hubs also got it in February this year. The nice gent at the Nomad front desk added $100 in F/R credit too.

 

Nothing for me last year. I'm staying there for my birthday on a comp again this year though. Will see... but! Sahara has a birthday freeplay spin. And if you mention it's a birthday at wolfgang puck in the mgm on a reservation they bring a free dessert. So a few birthday things around still!

 

Has anyone’s host given any additional comps for birthday? My host said he would prior to booking but he didn’t give one when he booked it and he avoided my ask when I said if he could per our convo. My host sucks lol. Always says he would do things and then never does

 

My host texted me that they were going to do it this year, but I’m a couple months away.

 

I hate when corporations take away the little things…

 

Tell your host those of us with birthdays in the beginning of the year, that spent it in a MGM resort, would like a late birthday present.

 

Probably will be restricted to birthdays that are on days that don’t end in “Y”

My host said they are still doing Birthday FP and I would see it the beginning of my Birthday month (June).

 

So official offer for birthday. My host at Mandalay Bay is doing $4,000 in addition to my normal offer for my birthday in August.
