I know it is a teaser offer. But I can get 5 nights comped at the Fremont, Cal, and MSS. And it is for March Madness weekend! - Checking in Wed (3/16/22). I will actually check out early on Sunday around 7pm. I have a redeye departing at 11pm.

My question is what coin in per day will I need to maintain to get 4 nights comped in the future. 90% of my play would be VP poker - specifically Bonus Poker. I will sprinkle a couple session of Bj and Craps.

As background, I was Ruby with zero tier credits before my trip last month. I earned 148 TC. Most of it was earned while losing $300 on 3 play $0.25 STP Bonus Poker at the Fremont and losing $250 on $5 DDB at the Cal. I also played 3 separate $20 sessions at the MSS, Cal, and Fremont on our VP pub crawl. I wish BConnected had 2021 win/loss statements on their website like Club One so I could see exactly what my coin in was.

I'm a sucker for comped rooms. So if they keep giving them to me, I will be loyal. That is why I have been loyal to the D. But I usually only get 2 or 3 nights from them for my annual October trip. I have averaged about $3-4K/day in coin over 4 nights my last few trips. Also these are marketing offers. I do not have a host. So I have to wait every couple months for Club One to load their offers on the website.

How do you know you have 5 nights? Just asking because Boyd has a history of displaying comp when you search up to a certain number of nights, and then the booking fails online, and when you call in they can only give you fewer.

I had 4 nights over a weekend showing comp at Sam's Town but the agent said I could only book 3 in a row, and the online booking was failing.

Not saying you don't have it, but don't assume and plan around having it until you have a reservation.

I am actually booked at the Fremont and have a confirmation number and confirmation email from Boyd. I did it all through the Bconnected app on my phone last week. Just a little while ago, I logged onto the app and put in the same dates for the Cal and MSS and got the same result - COMP for all 5 nights. Just to see if I was getting those comped and in case decide to switch hotels. I did find this odd though that I was able to possibly book those same dates at another hotel. I kind of expected it say unavailable or whatever.

JMHO sounds like Boyd wants to burn and churn it's old loyal Rubies, etc for fresh meat,
someone else can probably guess/explain how much VP play you would need to keep getting offers like that,
I'd guess it's quite a lot and no one really knows.
and just as a reference you need to earn 5 times those tier points to get out of Ruby and start earning any actual comp points..
but take those rooms while you can!

Yea I know I am not getting any comp points until I get out of Ruby. I voiced that concern before my fall trip. I agree as long as they are giving me free rooms I will take them. I always concentrate my play where I stay. It's easier to get to the room after gambling and drinking all day. So I'm pretty sure I will start earning comp points early during the trip in March. But overall I'd rather have a comped room than getting a few dollars off a meal or even free play.

I'd recommend Cal rooms for the most updated quietest rooms vs. D if you're splitting a trip,
though I hear Fremont is mid upgrading it's rooms too.
and the point discount for food hasn't been ruined.. yet.
also I don't think they've gone to charging resort fees on comped rooms yet..
:ssst:hopefully that won't give any accounting geniuses any ideas:nono:

I wish I could help. I was cut off a while back and have attempted to restart the room offers at California. I did one day of 7,000 coin in 6 months ago and then a day of 21,000 coin in late Oct. As of now, rooms at the Cal would cost me $30 per night. Admittedly, both of my days were on the young at heart promo and I have a feeling they have me flagged as an "advantage player".

I guess I should be happy I am still eligible for promos.

I think 4-5k per day is adequate for 3-4 nights comp offer. Of course depends on the frequency of play…. …..one every couple of months or 6?
Good luck and spend those points on some good food and ale…

@mwig, I am sure you know this but I would not wait for Boyd to come to you with offers. Contact a host either by calling or email. I would think that you could get comped rooms for your play. All they can do is say no.

I think you'll be fine at whatever level of play you've been doing with them. Boyd is very generous with room comps. And yes, there still is no resort fee on a comped room.

Yes, still NO resort fee on Comped Rooms.
Also, you DO get all your change out, from a TITO!

GG did NOT give me my change.
I gave the TITO of .21 to a nearby player, on the way out.

I've just got onto Boyd radar for free nights. I'm planning on doing ~$5,000 CI/night on VP and seeing if that keeps the offers coming.

I've been getting comped rooms from Boyd for years and all of a sudden they've disappeared from the recent mailer. they've upped me to a slightly higher FP and food comp amount, but that does me no good if I have to pay for the room + resort fee. looks like I won't be staying at the Cal next time I return and I don't really see a reason to keep playing at Boyd casinos if they've decided my usual play isn't good enough for them anymore.

    Have you checked online?
I get offers but they don't state how many days.
I'm not even sure I get any snail mailers.
I used to get 3, now maybe 2.
FP and FC been cut to $5 if that.
this is from an >1 yr Emerald.
not for long though, I bet.

I finally used the only benefit of that tier last trip, line cuts, for the first time.
Usually I feel bad doing it to the Aunties & Uncles so don't.
Yay been there, done that, neexxxt!

    Thanks, Boyd, :rolleyes2:
I'll keep visiting the MSS and Cal for the staff and clientele,
and maybe to finally meet the legendary @Ty
but I've got much better comp room offers now elsewhere.
and from the front of Circa, it's a real short walk to Aloha Specialties.

took a trip or two to realize we were taking the long way
(Circa Fremont exit to front of Cal distance is much >Valet/Check in side of Circa to back door of Cal)

actually maybe I'll try to use that quarterly room benefit and see if I can book a final farewell room for next year while I can.

tldr: the impression I get from this thread is they want to dump all the old loyals and start again with fresh blood. take them for the teaser offers for as much as you can.. please report back on your progress.

My free play and dining went up, but my offer is now for 2 nights rather than 3. But I can get 5 nights comped using the "book online for the best rates" link. Try it.

by "mailer" I meant the BConnected online offers, although I did receive an actual mailer with free rooms for the upcoming slot/VP tournaments. no comp rooms listed online, just "YOUR SPECIAL B CONNECTED ROOM DEALS!" with slightly discounted rates.

I tried multiple non-peak weekdays every month up to May and no dice.

The way Boyd is determining comps is crazy now. I use to get 3-4 comp nights with food credit and freeplay at the Orleans and a few other non-downtown Boyd properties in Vegas before the pandemic when I was Sapphire (my home casino is the Orleans). I dropped to Ruby last year, but made Sapphire again last month at my local Boyd property (Blue Chip-Indiana) and I'm not getting any comp room offers for their Vegas properties. It's weird, since in the past, my local play would generate Vegas offers when I wasn't able to visit Vegas. Although, I'm getting 2 comp rooms/week at my local property, along with a few other perks.

funny you mention that - I stayed at Ameristar KC in May and after checking just now, I can pull two comp nights there in Feb (Mon/Tues) in a Mini Suite. same dates at The Cal are $70/nt for a Premium King room. digging a little deeper, I see I can pull the same comp nights across almost all Boyd properties in the country but am blackballed from the three locations in downtown LV (the other LV locations still include my F&B and FP). truly fascinating that I have offers literally everywhere except where I consistently play.
