I know.....I am really excited and with the private messages I have received could be even more but any group pull with 20 or more is a huge success

I have a photographer ready to document it all
@SoCalMon has volunteered to take pictures and post them as we play.

Just want to make sure we're all on the same page. If we have a win for $1200+ are you going to withhold money to cover the taxes?
Also, Kim and I will each put in $100 and cousin (as @bubbakitty mentioned) will be joining by proxy and maybe his wife too.
We will try to get there early to help.

The old boy scout in me wanted to check on the access restrictions the Cosmopolitan has been doing (that Be Prepared thing). The website now says there access restriction is for Friday through Sunday. So anyone going for the fireworks viewing needs to keep that in mind. Looks like you can get around it by getting their card.

    From https://www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com/whats-happening
Friday - Sunday from 8PM - 4AM, access to the resort is restricted to hotel guests, Identity Rewards Members, or guests with a confirmed restaurant reservation.

I had a feeling they were going to do that because they have to so they can control the traffic. I am sure other casinos will probably be doing the same. Once I am in cosmo I will stay in there til after our fireworks viewing party. I am expecting to be in cosmo around 4pm ish. Also keep in mind the traffic for those driving and even taking the bus uptown, it will be crowded. Best to try and get there in the afternoon if you can and hang around the area until about 4 or 5ish the latest and go inside cosmo to make sure your ok. Depending on the people traffic, they might restrict even earlier.

No, I will cover the taxes up to a 5000.00 win. So any hand pay less than 5,000. I will be responsible for the taxes.

So, what's the plan if our win is above 5000.00?

If only one person can claim and take the tax hit, I don't mind volunteering. Correct me if I am wrong, but as I understand it, the claimant can ask the casino (Cosmo) to withhold taxes. Which I will do. We then split the after-withholding portion amongst the group. Sound good?

Also, please feel free to speak up if anyone else has a burning desire to be the one to eat the taxes  (I am only volunteering so that we don't end up staring at each other wondering who will do it.)

I'm not trying to be an ass but this is what we need to work out before the slot pull.

@Texaschameleon if the win is over $5k state how much you need to hold back for taxes. I'm good with that, but it needs to be resolved before Sunday. This covers you and prevents problems later.

Here’s hoping the staring is an option as an outcome. It yes, do something in advance….a % or something off the top. When you have 20 people and and win 5K that’s 250 per ….less 38.50 makes it awkward to make change.

I will cover the taxes up to 5,000.00 I just called Cosmo and they will withhold taxes over that amount if requested so we are all good to go. They said that any time you receive a handpay you can request taxes taken out ahead of payment

Thanks for the offer. I called Cosmo and explained that we are doing a group pull and was told they will take the taxes out before payment to make it easy.

OK VMBers. This is the Group Pull list. I have added your real names as well as screennames here if I have both. Please let me know if I am missing anyone. This is truly going to be epic. Approximately 7-9 are tentative. We will be playing two games 10.00 per spin 10 spins per person. I will have a sign in sheet ( courtesy of Yung-Mei) You will hand over your money and initial that you have done so. One we are finished I will go to the cage and have them divide the money to the closest dollar. Once that is completed you will initial that you have received your money. Woo hoo...lets get some big handpays.
