Better than the opposite, no one wants to see "those pics"

    Final Thoughts:

    - Let's call this one like it was. It was raining quads on me like it rains money in a nudie bar.
    - JR is a VERY fun travel partner.
    - The Sedona area is an absolute marvel of nature. I cannot recommend highly enough.
    - This trip made up for the ass kicking I received when I went to the NFL draft. I think the lesson here is to keep gambling no matter what???
    - I am a sucker for a $5 Mississippi Stud table.
    - I cannot decide what was money better spent: The day bed at MGM or the Seadoo on Lake Havasu. Let's call it a tie.
    - $70 to fill 3/4 of the tank in the Seadoo is ridiculous.
    - Despite its awesomeness, a lot of people in Sedona kinda aren't that friendly to tourists and ya get the feeling the locals don't really like us all that much. Like we are intruding on their secret place.
    - With all due respect to the Four Queens, MGM Lobby Bar, and NYNY Center Bar, I think my favourite video poker bar in Vegas the Baccarat Bar at Bellagio. I may have mentioned that on my last trip?
    - It is always a good idea to rent a Seadoo on Lake Havasu.
    - Harrah's has an inferior casino to others in Laughlin but that beach is a nice draw. I am surprise another casino like Aquarius or Riverside doesn't make an bit more effort to emulate this unless their are regs or natural reasons not to muck with the shore line.
    - The drive from Flagstaff to Sedona is pretty nice.
    - The drive from Vegas to Flagstaff is LONG when you are tired and hung over.
    - I am almost too old for that incessant DJ (regardless of who he or she may be) at the Flamingo pool. That is a large reason we are staying at Paris in a couple weeks.
    - However, we do like stumbling from the Flamingo pool to Carlos and Charlie's for Happy Hour and nachos.
    - Love me some Riverside video poker bar day or night but preferably the day.
    - Katy Perry was awesome and if you even like her music a little bit, you will enjoy this show. It is a good time.
    - The Sand Dollar at The Plaza looked pretty cool but we were there a bit early.
    - I enjoyed the view from Oscar's.
    - While a am no steak aficionado, my steak at The Range might have been my second best steak ever.
    - I have never seen such a thing as I did at the $ Queens as I did at Magnolia's. One guy who was so drunk he took at himself and the hostess stand (dude was 40-50 and not a kid) and another lady asleep at the table only to wake up long enough to get sick in the garbage can that her friend grabbed from said collapsed hostess stand. The can was strategically placed beside her at the table and they were all allowed to remain in the restaurant while this took place. I did have some pictures of all of this but posting them would be very crass in my humble opinion.
    - We were still able to enjoy our meal.
    - CET/Derek Stevens were nice enough to pay for our entire trip and even lend us some extra interest free money until our next trip. That is a rare thing especially when I gambled hard over 7 days. This was no hit and run. I gave lots of opportunity to give it back but when I needed a win they kept coming.
    - That Super Triple Play Carny Wheel Explosion Blaster machine at Paris was a lucky find. I think it goes without saying that I will be back at that machine in a couple weeks but damned if I know where it is located?
    - We are back in 15 days because we have Chris Rock tickets. We booked this awhile ago but have since added Wayne Newton tickets as we gotta see Wayne before he goes the way of Seigfried and Roy.
    - I think we will take a little break from TR's on this next one. Plenty of other fabulous TR"s going for us to read and I think the next trip will be a bit more low key for JR and I.

I hope you enjoyed and I hope the pictures conveyed how much fun we had. America is an awesome place and 98% of the people out there are pretty darn good if you give em a chance. Don't let the news or the 2% drag ya down. Cheers!

Absolute pleasure to read! I need to add a Southwest road trip to my bucket list. And those nachos! Definitely trying those the next time I'm on the Strip!

Very enjoyable report. Looks like you and the better half had an awesome time. Thanks for taking us along. If you make it downtown on your next trip hit me up. Prohibition Bar at GG is always a good time.

Making a mental note to spend some time at the Baccarat Bar for VP on either Thursday night or Friday morning next week--I've ordered drinks there, but I've never actually sat down.

Looking forward to following along with your next trip!

My sisters and I took my mom to see Wayne Newton before the Stardust closed down. Mom was a big gambler at 4Q before she moved from Texas back to Ohio but in all the years she went she never saw a show, so after she moved to Ohio we flew her out and took her to see Wayne. We sat along the stage and she had some flowers to give him and he came over and kissed her on the cheek. Mom said “I love you Wayne” and he said “I love you too sweetie”. It totally made my mom’s trip. His voice wasn’t all that good, the music was loud but he really put on a fun show.

    Happy birthday to me!
Let’s check Garth off my nieces bucket list!

Forty years ago I was you and JR (okay definitely not as beautiful or as cool.) Enjoy the times you have together in one of your favourite places because all too soon it becomes too much. You are at just the right age to enjoy every awesome moment you have in Las Vegas and still young enough to remember them. I just love following your trip reports. Grandmaw from Calgary.

Really enjoyed your report as always. I hope you have a fantastic time on your next one. How about a JR Trip Report? I would love to hear her perspective of the trips as well

Holy shit I was there for both of these things. Did not see you, but I saw the woman grab the garbage paid and I saw the guy pass out.

A JR trip report.....that is interesting. Might include a lot of commentary on how late her husband came back to the room from a night of drunken gambling. She is usually out by 1-2 am but on this last trip she surprised me when she wanted to go to the 4 Queens at midnight.

Wow! That is funny. I am shocked they let that poor drunk girl sleep at the table and then just casually toss her cookies into the garbage. It was actually fairly discreet or as discreet as it could be. And she didn't throw up that much. But we did have to divert our eyes once or twice. It was rough. And that dude toppled that waitress stand over so hard I thought a wall had fallen down or something. That was quite an adventure and I have never seen anything like it and I used to regularly eat at the Westward Ho and the Silver City!!!
