For years I've wanted to venture off strip to go here. Too much gambling and drinking and we never end up going. How's the food? Looks like a really old school place and has great reviews. Appreciate any first hand comments. Thank you.

I have never dined there. (No particular reason, just haven't and Italian food is one of my faves.) My impression was that it was a private club, but it is open to the public.

I've known a number of people who have eaten there and swear that I would love it. It's kind of off the beaten path, and there are tons of Italian offerings closer to the center of gravity.

    Isn't that a "family" hangout?

I would argue that makes it more appealing.

If you mean families with kids, I think they allow them.

If you mean wiseguys, I seem to recall that Piero's is/was a hangout.

We have eaten there many times always great and the food is reasonably priced and service is awesome and there is live music that is not intrusive to your conversation it is truly an old school Italian place check there website for times and entertainment also it is not to far out of the way it is on Sahara east a couple of miles from the strip.
