I adore bubble craps and found myself also playing the digital blackjack at TAG at The Quad. These games are here to stay.

I wouldn't consider them training their customers. I still love a live craps game over bubble craps. I still enjoy BJ dealt to me. These are just another diversion in my eyes. Its a way to step away from a losing venture and try something new without a huge committment. I'll always play both and appreciate that the casinos offer them.

TAG - this is one awesome bar. You can place sports book bets directly there now as well!

One of my favorite Vegas moments was playing this at the Sahara with family members. My brother in law played the live $1 blackjack with crappy rules and we played the machine with much better rules. I think the table $1 paid 1:1 on blackjack and the machine paid 3:2. You could play on $50 for hours.

I saw one of these at Mandalay Bay and was thinking about sitting down and trying it out. However I walked away disgusted when I saw that blackjacks paid 6/5.

Yea! You really need to check that. The one at Excal and MGM by 3:2 for Blackjack...its not consistent through the different casinos

To the comment about it being fast to get high hands per hour...I find this digital BJ to be much slower than real table games

The one at the Mirage had blackjacks paying even money!!

Last time I looked, both the MGM Grand and Excalibur ones paid 3:2 and dealer stood on S17.

Is the Mirage still even money? I thought that was how it was set up at first, but it has changed. I might have heard wrong. Also Aria has 2 different machines one pays 6/5 the other pays 3/2 so you have to be careful to find a good one.

It is? I would be surprised by that.

I thought all CET Vegas "e-games" have been $45 per TC for awhile now.

That sucks, used to be 3:2. Don't blame you for walking.

I'm sorry, but you're wrong. As Dutch said, the ONLY way they can reduce the payout is by setting rules that increase the house advantage of the game itself. The rules are set and those rules yield a HE of .33%. The only other way to reduce the payout is to "cheat" with the dealt decks and not only is not legal in the first place, no casino will risk it. Leave the tinfoil at home.

I think these games actually get more people playing/learning without the intimidation of walking up to a table. That's a plus for the casino.

    I agree with this 100%.

A Craps table is very intimidating if you are a first timer...being able to "practice" and learn on a digital machine, at lower limits I might add, is a huge plus for the casino.
Same goes for Roulette, the tables are crowded and putting the chips out is stressful sometimes.
Blackjack is also hard for new people, because their decisions could effect the other players outcomes...and its awkward if they are sitting right there and can physically see the card they "should/could/would have gotten"

Exactly! My husband and I were playing at one of the electronic blackjack machines at MC a couple of years ago and watched a guy surrender on 11. At a regular table that would have caused such an uproar, but no one cared at the electronic table.
