It's horrible. I lost my mom to Alzheimer's this past July. Our family couldn't hold a proper funeral.

The only bright spot was my mom was not in a conventional care home but in a residential care home. We were blessed with a wonderful and caring caregiver for our mom and we were able to visit her and say goodbye when the time came.

But yeah, 2020 sucks big time. I'm sure many people had similar or even worse situations like this.

Take care everyone, God Bless and hope we see better days soon.

Outside of a quick 24hr. business trip into Las Vegas a month ago, where I stayed at the non-gaming, non-fun Marriott across from the Convention Center, I haven't been to Las Vegas since a week before the Super Bowl. For the most part, I really haven't been anywhere else either.
BUT... last night Raiders/Saints game really got to me!

The video of The Strip and downtown just looked incredible, not to mention The Killers halftime show that looked like it was done outside at the old Pure (Omnia?) Nightclub @ Caesar's. The Raider WIN :), new stadium, coupled with all that really got the juices going. I'm actually excited for Circa opening downtown late next month as well. My family will scream, cause of Covid, but I've GOT to figure out a way to get down there sooner, rather than later.

Echoing what almost everyone else has said you are definitely not alone. We ditched our late March trip to Vegas, lost our entire winter camping season, and normally we go to Mexico in Sept each year. Not happening. We are VERY VERY fortunate in that we have gotten out a few places (living within 45 minutes of Niagara Falls helped) and just came back from a Northern Ontario road trip. However with numbers climbing again here in Ontario I fully expect more restrictions to be in place soon making for a long and tough winter.

Try and do all you can to stay busy and to maintain mental as well as physical health. Be kind to each other, be patient with retail workers and we will all emerge eventually. Cheers everyone.

I'm glad there is trip reports to read again, it was a bummer when Vegas was closed and no trip reports to read! We have cancelled 2 trips, end of May & was supposed to be flying out this coming Saturday. We are rescheduled for December 10th booked a no resort fee room in Rush Tower @ Golden Nugget for 4 nights. Airfare is the same one rescheduled for the 3rd time on SW we have until March 3rd to use it. As long as the bars stay open we plan on going. The masks suck but they are necessary, don't think I would go in the summer with the mask mandate just too hot. Viva Las Vegas!!

I really miss going to Vegas too. I'm ready to go, but wife is afraid that I will bring COVID back with me. Not sure when she will be comfortable with letting me go.
