    Are VP tournaments usually invitation only or are there likely to be some for Joe (or Jane) public to register for? If so, how do I find them?

    Perhaps there are some you can pay a fee and sign up, but I've never seen that downtown.

    All my play has been by invite mailers.

    I think you will find that VP tournaments tend to be invite only to get people into the casino. Seems like I have seen some small buck ones offered at smaller casinos from time to time with a fee.
