I am in Vegas an extra night this upcoming trip. I am going to try hard not to burn myself out like I have in the past with nonstop gambling and drinking. My favorite longer trips in the past involved some non casino “downtime” distractions. Since there are a few upcoming theatrical releases to hit the screens over Xmas, I may consider going to catch one of these shows. Which casino has the best theatre experience? Clean, comfortable, maybe some interesting unique snack or even lunch options? (A beer with my movie??) let me know your thoughts… and what upcoming releases are you looking forward to seeing in the theatre?
I havent seen a movie in vegas so cant add much to the convo besides asking another question. Wondering which theater have seats that recline? We always fly out late and I figure its a matter of time before we cant get a comped room for that last day to rest. If this happens my first plan is to hit a movie theater to relax before our flight even if I dont care about watching the movie.
Haha I literally was thinking of doing this myself, but have yet to see a movie in the hotel theaters. I’ve gone to the AMC at an outside mall before I think, so that was just the normal movie experience. I have not been, but I believe Palms and South Point has a theater. I vaguely recall Green Valley Ranch also has a theater. I just found out about the bevy and am interested for their jazz nights and independent films. I think you’re gonna be at the craps meetup so I’ll see you there if not before!
Yup. I’ll be there for sure. You’ll find me wandering around aimlessly or stuck to a barstool playing VP somewhere in the interim!!
I have done this a couple times. (probably 4 different casino movie theaters) Honestly I don't know that I could even remember the difference between them because they are all your standard corporate movie experience. Once you are in the Movie area you really are not in a casino anymore. If I was going to recommend one.. I would say South Point but that is just because I think the resort as a whole is great value and would support it when ever it makes sense
Killers of the Flower Moon has a 3:26 running time, so counting for the 15 commercials and previews, that could be 4 hours or more. Just get earphones and set them to zero and you can get a long nap.
If you can make it downtown, it’s worth the short walk to Art Houz, which is my favorite movie theater in Vegas (I still have yet to go to The Beverly). Stadium seating with recliner seats and $10. https://thearthouz.com/ But if strictly a casino movie theater, I’d vote for Red Rock.
I don't see movies in Vegas very often, but I like the Brenden Theaters at the Palms. They also have an IMAX theater. https://www.brendentheatres.com/
I live not far from South Point but usually go to the Orleans over the Palms, the mall, or South Point. They have much smaller crowds and great recline seating.
The casino theaters are basically all the same. Go to the one that's convenient for you or the one where you have comps to cover the price of your ticket. I find the Orleans theater convenient because you can just hop on the 201 at the strip and Tropicana and in 5-10 minutes you're there.
Palace Station has large reclining seats, servers who bring food and alcohol to your seats in their movie theatre.
